A revelation for this ordinary sewist
I am an ordinary sewist who loves cotton and linen and who has come to hate traditional clothing patterns because of the fabric waste that they leave in their wakes. And while I quilt and make other projects with the wastage, I would prefer to make good-looking clothes that don’t leave me with so much scrap fabric. This book, therefore, is an incredible resource for helping people like me visualize how we can use zero waste concepts in designing and making our own clothes. True, some of the concepts — see, e.g., CAD or grading patterns for multiple sizes — I am unlikely to use. And some of the designs in this book will not compliment my body (now in its seventh decade). Still, many of the concepts in the book are helpful to hobby sewists like me. Further, I can wear many of these designs and very much look forward to making them. In the meantime, many, many thanks to Timo Rissanen and Holly McQuillan for publishing a work that, in addition to being comprehensive, also is accessible to those of us who are not design students.

0 Problemas
Como o livro veio de fora, fiquei com um certo receio do livro vir danificado, mas não aconteceu nada com ele

A good read
I read the whole book and I can say that many of the designs are not practical to wear in this book. Only few are wearable. The patterns to make them are very complicated. Personally as a fashion design student I would not recommend this book.
