The product is exactly as described. I have thick hair (1” pony diameter) as you can see in the picture, and there was still plenty of room in there. The black headband is very soft and comfortable. I think my head is average size and the hat fits loosely, but did not move at all in the 10 mph breeze. The brim is nice and rigid, and did not bend upward in the wind thereby maintaining sun protection, which is exactly what I was looking for. The hat shipped folded in half, but it was folded on the seam which is to the side of my head so I didn’t care there was a slight bend to it. The chin strap is a nice fabric and not abrasive at all and the slide clamp seems sturdy. I’ve only worn it once, but it seems like a great value and I wish I would’ve bought this years ago!

Wore while hiking near the ocean on a day with very strong winds. It provided good sun coverage and although the front brim flapped up with the wind from time to time, the string held snug and it never flew off.

I bought this recently for a beach trip and was so very glad to have it! The brim is wide and really gives you a lot of shade. Unfortunately the brim is so wide that when you tighten the chin strap it does slightly bow downward around your ears so peripheral vision is pretty limited. This hat is great for if you have a large cranium but does not adjust around the head, only under the chin. The ponytail hole is plenty wide enough and there is an elastic band that looks adjustable under it but it does not do a thing to tighten the actual hat to your head.We had 16 mph winds and it stayed on and shielded me from sand in my eyes so I am happy.This one is also a real fabric instead of the paper-like weird stuff the other brands available seem to be made of.Get it. It is well worth the money!

This hat is amazing! I wore this every day of my summer vacation in Florida when I was out at the beach and pool and this is the FIRST year… I’m 33 and have been coming my whole life… first year that I didn’t get a burn on my face. This hat offers amazing sun protection; my face still tanned a bit so I’m not a pasty white head on a tanned body, which is great, but my face never had the opportunity to burn.The best part? This hat does not make your head hot! I repeat: it does not make your head hot! For context, I am a plus size woman and am sweating and hot when I’m out in the sun by nature of my body type. I worried my scalp would sweat being in a hat all the time but it didn’t! This hat is comfortable, kept me cool, aided in preventing my face from getting sunburnt, and I got compliments on it my whole vacation! The fact that I could put my hair in a low bun or braid and STILL have my whole head covered and face and neck shaded - exactly what I needed. I also love the material it’s made from - it doesn’t hold water. Water mostly rolls off it and if the hat is submerged (I like to float on my back in the pool) it doesn’t soak up all that water and become heavy! I liked being able to do whatever in the hat and not worry.I’m so pleased with this hat I’m going to order a couple more in other colors just to mix it up next vacation.

I'm surprised how much I love this. It's cute, it's got everything you need and covers your entire head (ears, neck, etc.) unlike my baseball cap that doesn't cover much. Nice drawstring, fits perfectly b/c it has a sliding clasp under the ponytail hole. Very happy with purchase.

Sadly I will be sending this hat back. The hat itself is great and well made but the hole for the pony tail is way to small even for the tiniest ponytail.

It fits my almost size 8 head, AND accommodates my hair clip so I am not limited to pony tail hair styles. The hat folded for storage in my suitcase but still opened fully while on my head. It was nice not to choose between getting a hat headache or burning my face and neck. It is lightweight and comfortable, decent quality, and not outrageously expensive. Thanks for making a great product.

This hat is perfect for summer and rainy days. Doesn't take up space when folded .
