Q: How long do they last? Do you add your own cream?

Can’t say how long they last but recommend washing in warm or cold and then air dry. The heel has a coating that feels like a gel, but it is a coating on fabric to prevent absorption of lotion you apply to your skin. Depending on type and how much lotion you use, you can just wipe gelled area or rinse excess each morning, but definitely recommend air dry to keep coating as gel. I think a dryer with any heat would change properties of the gel and either make it dry and crack or maybe go gooey.

Q: Will these fit a man with a size 12 foot wide and swollen ankles?

Even though this material expands I don't think it would.

Q: No stretch whatsoever, so don't come close to fitting over my size 10 foot - anyone else have this problem??

I also agree, no stretch at all. I wear 10.5R men shoes. Unfortunately I ripped the tops out of mine so did not return them. My wife was barely able to wear the other pair. Wish I would have read this review before I bought them.

Nope, just keeps your moisturing lotion in place allowing more absortion.
