A lovely inclusive book about bodies, suitable for young children
I thought this was a really lovely book and I will be getting it for friends with children. The dialogue is fun and rhythmical. Both the words and pictures are wonderfully inclusive. It's a good place to start if you're wanting to help your child understand that bodies can look different and still be equally as good. Pictures show people with scars (including those that some trans men have on their chests), people with birthmarks and vitiligo, disabled people who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids, people with colostomy bags, people of different colours, different sizes, different heights. All are represented with equal positivity, and difference is treated as normal and a good thing. I think the illustrations are really beautiful and colourful. Some of the reviews made me concerned that there would be nudity in this book, that is not the case. No genitalia is shown and it is an entirely age appropriate book.

Excellent book.
What a fabulous find. We wanted a book along these lines for our school library, and this was all we were looking for and more. It covers skin colour, body size, scars, body hair - all sorts of physical differences, with the message that we are absolutely fine as we are. Thank you.

It's fine. My child enjoyed it and it piqued his curiosity
This was recommended as a good book to encourage positive conversations about different types of bodies. It has loads of pictures of people with various interesting differences of the kind that could be pointed out and commented on by a four year old child. Birthmarks, scars, soft middle aged bellies, prosthetic limbs, glasses, tall, short, different races, hair in different places. But I just found it missed the mark. Aside from stating that "bodies are cool", they don't really show how cool bodies are. or bring out any of the amazing things bodies can do. There is one page where we see people in a ballet class, but that is the only page where we see a body actually doing anything other than standing around. I don't enjoy reading this to my son, and I think I will have a go at doing better myself.

Diverse, beautiful and great words too
I love this book! The illustrations are beautiful and cover so many differences. The rhythm of the words makes it fun to read and it sparked some good conversations with my 5 and 7yr olds. Good for a range of ages preschool to year 2 I’d say. I can see this one becoming a regular in every nursery/reception that cares about equality and representation as the phonics, vocab and rhyming make it engaging, fun and spot on for a group read hit

Wonderful inclusive story book
Absolutely wonderful book. I have read this again and again with my four year old. This book is extremely inclusive, different bodies and relationships on every page. It was a breath of fresh air and has given my son the confidence to talk about different bodies in a more sensitive and appropriate way. An absolute must buy, I recommend to anyone and everyone!

Amazing inclusive book
I am so happy that I found this book. It's a happy and joyous celebration of many different bodies and has so much representation in. I want my baby to grow up knowing how wonderful each of our differences are and I think this book will be a staple in teaching him that.
