This body balm does an outstanding job at moisturizing really dry, flaky, and ashy skin. I tend to have really dry skin especially my hands. I've used this on my knees, elbows, knuckles, and even used a thin layer for my hands as I was going to bed. I actually used this on the bottom of my feet which made such a difference on how my feet looked and felt.After using this everyday for just a week I was able to tell a noticeable difference in my skin. Those really dry spots had almost completely cleared up. I love how it's not greasy at all and how it soaks in to the skin quickly. It has a scent that's not over powering or annoying.What I didn't care for was the packaging they decided to use for these two small containers. When I saw the big box I was surprised because I thought wow they shipped two huge containers of body balm! Then after opening that box, moving the black paper out of the way, I was surprised again to see these two tiny sized containers in this huge box. I remember just standing there looking at those little containers thinking, "why"? Their listing states this body balm is giftable but doesn't show how they are packaged. In my opinion I think it's unnecessary and very wasteful. They can still be giftable without having so much packaging and paper.Overall, I think this body balm does a great job at moisturizing the small really dry spots on your body. It does so without being greasy and without having an over the top scent. They could really improve on their packaging and not be so wasteful.

My husband really likes to use this to help his feet, and puts it on overnight. It really helps to repair it, though maybe not AS good as some of the commercial petroleum products, it definitely works and I do not need to worry about terrible ingredients.

This 2-pack of 2-ounce jars of body balm for men is a nice buy. It smells great - I love the woody sandalwood scent. This goes on nicely. I would suggest you use it sparingly so that it absorbs quickly and completely.

I like a good lotion if I'm going to use a lotion. Something that will actually treat the skin, not just smell good. My husband tends to get patchy skin, and this has been fabulous for targeting the rougher and tougher spots. This is a thicker cream that absorbs well into the skin to do its job with quick and lasting results. The scent is pleasant as well. I feel this treats the skin rather than just being a scented thin lotion.

I'm not treating any issues with this right now, so I can't fully speak to its effectiveness except to say it moisturizes nicely. From the sleek, simple packaging to the experience, I don't see why this can't be enjoyed by men and women. The scent is mildly-invigorating, soft floral-woodsy. Being a balm, a little goes a long way. You're applying thinly and to areas of the body, not entire limbs. My husband might need a moment to adjust his mindset. He started by skeptically saying he thought it was hard to apply to saying the next day he actually might like it. I think he had the ideas this was for all the parts of his body that need healing, so his entire body, and a product needs to be generously applied to work. I told him I was thinking more for his dry hands, especially the crack that keeps coming back. Some of the products he uses makes his hands feel strangely slippery. This balm absorbs nicely, and leaves the skin soft without any greasy, shiny feel or appearance.Reviewers are criticizing the packaging. I also received these balms in an overly large gift box. I think Golden Grooming needs to work on consistent packaging. These balms didn't picture the box, but it was included. Other sets that showed a box didn't come in one (and they should have). Sometimes the gift box was the shipping box and the branding was covered with labels, so that also ruined the expectation of a gift boxed set. I'm hoping they will take notice of this comment and improve this.I would like to note that Golden Grooming has provided excellent customer service whenever I reached out though. They genuinely seem to care about delivering a good product and experience, so I hope customers will continue to give them a chance to prove themselves and improve.
