An amazing movie. Very faith based, and such a great story for the whole family.

This movie is truly one of the best films I have watched and I really think everyone should watch it at least once in their lifetime. It truly makes you put your life at a perspective and reminds you how the smallest moments and miracles of life are the ones that make the biggest impact on our lives and hearts. Jennifer Garner is amazing in this movie and the entire cast is wonderful.

Miracles from Heaven is a profoundly beautiful and unique story about how God works miracles in the life of a family living in Texas. Kylie Rogers plays Anna Beam who suddenly becomes very sick and needs to be taken to the emergency room late one night. Little does her mother and father know that they are going to be on quite a journey while her illness worsens. Throughout this movie, Jennifer Garner made me understand the emotions of a mother who was desperately fighting for her child's life. As Christy Beam she takes on a role of a lifetime. Martin Henderson also is great as Kevin Beam, her husband and dad of her three daughters. Dr. Nurko is really funny and makes the movie take a break from any serious considerations. He knows children love to laugh. Queen Latifah as Angela also brought lots of humor into the story and her warm joy on screen is so beautiful. So basically this story is about an incurable disease and doctors have given little hope for recovery. As you watch this movie you just can't imagine this could have a good outcome. Although the scene with the Monet art almost foreshadows Kylie's visit to heaven which is gorgeous once you see it. As a movie based on a real-life story you also get to see the real family at the end of the movie. One of the things that impressed me throughout the movie was the camera work. Each moment was captured so expertly it was just amazing making you feel like you were right in the room with the characters. The other thing I enjoyed was the emotive music throughout the movie. I watched this movie once a few days ago, then sent that copy to a friend and bought myself another copy to watch with the commentary feature on. That was very revealing and helped me to understand how the movie was created so wonderfully. The extras on this DVD are really well done and essential to understanding parts of the movie. So yes, this is the type of movie you see and then want to buy for your friends and family. ~The Rebecca Review

This movie is of course based on a true story taken from the book by the same title. The movie is the story of the Beam family. Their 10 year old daughter Anna comes down with a rare incurable disease. The family becomes ferocious advocates for Anna's healing. It becomes a long hard fight with a great deal of difficulties along the way. Their search for a solution is a dead end. Anna has a freak accident and what follows is an extraordinary miracle, Anna's healing. There is an amazing and dramatic rescue regarding the accident which leaves the medical specialists mystified. The end of the movie not only restores the Beam family it brings renewed faith to the community leaving everyone from doctors, church members as well as everyone involved along the way inspired. If you read the book you will be happy to know this is one movie that follows the book almost word for word. It is truly a great movie that leaves your spirit lifted to the heavens. It is what I call a happy up lifting movie and in these days we can use this type of lifting up. By the way the actors who play the Beam family do a great job. They truly got this movie right.

Great Movie True Story

Great movie with a wonderful cast. Jennifer Garner gives an outstanding performance. I watched this movie on a movie channel at home. I was so impacted by the story and its content, that I ordered the DVD version as a gift for a family member. To date have not spoken directly with the family member about the movie, but do know they were impacted as well from the story. Such a wonderful testament to the Love of GOD, and to the fact that healing miracles are still occurring today by the wonderous power of The Lord Jesus. If you haven't watched it, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
