Rainbow Magic: The Rainbow Fairies (Scholastic Reader Level 2) When my older daughter was 6 she discovered the Rainbow Magic series and fell in love with the Rainbow Fairies. When I saw this easy reader version of Rainbow Fairies I immediately bought it for my 4 year old.Reading this book to my 4 year old, I was pleased with the simple storyline that she could follow and enjoy. It was lighthearted and fun while showcasing different colors and foods. She loves to sit and have it read to her with the simple words and bright colorful pictures. I've even caught my older daughter reading it.This easy reader version expands the darling series of Rainbow Fairies for little girls. It is a great introduction that should lead them into a whole world of adorable chapter books in a few years.

This is a fun book to read and another favorite of my five year old daughter. The font is nice for young readers as it's easy to read. The illustrations are colorful, fun and engaging. The story line is very cute and encourages imagination in a young reader.

Both my daughters love rainbow magic books. These are great when they are not yet ready for the chapter books. It is nice to have all the rainbow magic chapter books to move to next. They even make friends by playing rainow magic fairies with other girls and telling eachother about the books they have read.

My daughter is really interested in the Rainbow Magic Fairy books. This was a good book for a beginning reader. She was able to read it with minimal help in First grade. The story line was cute too.

It was cute. It gets her to read.

This is right on for a good second grade reader. They are able to read it on their own and upgrade vocabulary as they go along. This kept my daughters attention and now she is into the complete series. I will take a book over more video any day.

Bought it for my first grader niece; she engaged with the story and visual. Allowed her to practice a mix easy and difficult words.

Perfect book for age group.

These books are great for encouraging solo ,confident reading. I had already been reading my 5 year old daughter the rainbow magic books as bedtime stories so she was thrillled to get a beautifully illustrated story that she was able to read all by herself. It was such a confidence boost as she felt she was reading a 'proper book' rather than something associated with a reading scheme. It was just the right balance of stretching her reading skills without being so difficult she lost interest.

Bought a couple of these for my daughter who loves fairies, mermaids, princesses etc. Really thought she'd like them, but no.I genuinely think the reason she doesn't like them is because they are very poorly written. Never mind the American spelling, which is not helpful when children are first learning to read, the stories are weak. There are countless characters who's names she has to decode, but they bring little to the story. Much of the vocabulary is too complicated for a young reader, i get the feeling the story has simply been edited to reduce the word count and then marketed at a developing reader.She has never chosen any of these books to read and even rejects them if I offer to read them, think that's says it all!

I bought this because my daughter loves the rainbow fairies and is now beginning to read, however some of the names of the fairies are different to those we are used to and the spelling of colour is color. I assume this is for the american market.

Tengo una niña de 6 años, bilingue, y terminamos con los libros NIvel 1...esta fue nuestra primera compra del nivel 2...y claro, como tenia que ver con los Rainbow Fairies - pues ferfecto!!! Ojala hubieran mas de los Rainbow fairies de nivel 2.....

Es un libro de tamaño muy manejable para las niñas, con pocas páginas. Mi hija de 6 años lo lee sin problemas, y las ilustraciones le encantan. Perfecto para niñas que ya leen un poco de inglés.
