These are listed as indoor/outdoor - the citronella scent is very intense and in my opinion too much for in the house unless in an area with a lot of air circulation and with the lid on it. Unfortunately the lids do not fit, they slide around and off, so I don't really "get" why they bothered. It's unfortunate they don't fit correctly as they'd be better for storing in the house if so.

This candle lasts along time and smells so go. It does the job.

The assortment of owls is a favorite at my store. The do keep mosquitoes away and smell good too!

These are absolutely undeniable, from the presentation and excellent packing, to the very cute and well crafted owl candles and saucers. THE OWLS Each color has a paired mate, made up of a taller narrower and a shorter wider one. Light blue have a gloss glazeMint green have a satin glazeCream brown and orange have a gloss glaze All of them have uncolored and unglazed eye surrounds, the eyes and beaks are black with a satin finish. The bottoms all have a drain hole, so could be used as small planters once the candles are spent.SAUCERSare solid unfinished bamboo, smooth on the bottom and a low 1/16" recess where the owls sit. THE CANDLESare soy wax and heavily citronella scented. I've only burned a two of them for 2 hours so far, and the wax is only down about 1/3 from the top. So I'm estimating I'll get around 5-6 hours of burn time from each one. They all have a cardboard insert on the top with standard it's hot warning, but also to keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" and don't burn for more than 3-4 hours at a time. These would make great gifts, individually, paired or as the whole set. I'm very pleased with them and believe you will be too.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

What is there to not like about these candles? The citronella scent is as expected and should help to keep the bugs at bay when lit. The little owl containers are just too darn cute...they *are* little but what makes them even better is that they are already set up to be a succulent pot...complete with hole (and plug) at the bottom and a bamboo "saucer" that serves as a lid while you are using the candle. I'm having a BBQ in a couple weeks and I can't wait to have these out and ready to hold the bugs at bay when evening arrives.Most definitely would purchase in future. Thinking I may give these as birthday/Christmas gifts.

This is a very cute assortment of ceramic owl citronella candles! Excellent for indoors or out, and the little wooden saucers are more to protect the surface it's sitting on from heat or scratches, than to be used as a lid. However so far, the candles do not get hot, just slightly warm on the outside.The scent is very pleasant, mainly because it's a soy-based wax. It is not overly pungent, and there is no smoke, until you blow it out of course.They also do a nice job of keeping the bugs away when sitting outside at a patio table.Once the wax is all gone, these can be used as small planters for things like succulents, and they already have a drainage hole in the bottom.This ceramic flock of owls come very well packed in a nice gift box, and these would be a great gift for anybody.Just a very unique, cute, and useful product, and an excellent value at the asking price!
