It does what it says! Solid and reliable.
We have used this Power Inverter for several of our vacations over the last 2 years. We take road trips in our van, so if we want to power 120 volt appliances, this is a must have! Typically, we run a fridge/freezer unit with it when we are on the road.I have also used it around the home to power a circular saw, a Sawzall, and an angle grinder, for those times that I didn't want to stretch several extension cords out to reach an area I needed to work in. No issues at all with this unit. It has never tripped the fuse/breaker, never got hot.I appreciate the digital readout that they included on this model. That is a great feature to have on a power inverter.

Still Running After Four Years
March 21, 2021: Bought this unit clear back in August 2017, so I finally decided to do a long-term review on it. I purchased it to hook it to a very large deep cycle battery to power up a small TV and other medium-draw devices while on camping trips. So after nearly four years of use, here's my assessment. It still works. Just be careful not to short out the cables when hooking them to a battery. In other words, don't stick the red cable on the black side (negative) of the battery or you will immediately blow the internal fuse. You do NOT want to do that because it is extremely difficult to separate the case on this inverter and replace the fuse inside. By 'extremely difficult' I mean it took me a couple of hours and I chipped the plastic case on the unit here and there doing it. So pay attention and don't cross the cables, otherwise you might have to have that case cracked open by a pro with pro tools.Eventually, I did get the fuse replaced and the case back together, but it wasn't easy. This is not the manufacturer's fault, by my own fault. And I learned my lesson. I haven't shorted it out since, and every time I take it on a camping or field trip, it always performs great. You can use it as a sort of battery tester as well, because when you hook up the alligator clips to any car or deep cycle battery, it will show you the amount of volts in the battery. If you put a load on it through the plug-ins up front of the unit...you can also tell if the battery is any good by watching to see if the voltage holds good while it's putting out a load, like say a plug-in lamp. If the volts drop pretty quickly, the battery is either no good, or needs charging. If you charge up the battery and the volts still drop quickly after load...then either the battery is sulfated or just plain no good.

Does what it is supposed to
Unit worked well but the fan is rather loud when it kicks on. I used this with two (2) 60 watt trouble lights to draw down a LiFePO4 battery (on the bench for calibration purposes). It was only using 153 watts (~12.5 amps according to the battery bluetooth app) and the fan ran constantly. It was loud enough that I didn't have to be in the garage all the time it was working.I do like that it has alligator clips AND a 12VDC connection cables.

Great for outdoors, emergencies or work sites.
Got this just to use if the power went out at my house, but took it to work one day for the heck of it and a job came up. Thought I would take it along with my truck to use the battery. Hooked up the terminals and plugged in an angle grinder to it and worked like a charm, especially for a total of 3 hours. Had some doubts if it would actually pump out the power that was advertised, and met my expectation. Just ordered another one because my Chief Mechanic was impressed with it and wanted one. Actually, I might get another one myself for home use and emergencies.Highly recommended for anyone to purchase, either for bad weather, crisis/emergency, outdoors or even for work site areas. Good size, displays remaining voltage and usage, pretty solid. I haven't had any issues at all with it, good price at $45 for 750W, price might be lower or higher now.

Best Inverter on the Market...
Potek Power Inverter. There are many choices for inverters, I wanted one that was safe and reliable. We don't have a home generator and when the power goes out its good to have a source for certain things like battery re-charge for the cell phones ipad and items that are unaffected by the power outage. Potek checked all the boxes when it came to deciding which inverter to buy. Item is very well built and engineered, it certainly exceeded our expectations in the last ice storm as we were able to maintain a 40 watt table lamp and a small fan. The potek is compatible with both the battery from your vehicle as well as the portable jump battery we own. We haven't used it while camping yet but I am certain it would perform very well in the wild and provide some security in an unpredictable environment. Great product, excellent warranty and the customer service appears to be outstanding, they have reached out twice now to make sure the product has meet our expectations and it certainly has.
