Carlock is the most amazing device GPS locating you can locate just about anything as long as you have a OBD connection in your vehicle or toy or machinery. The design is incomparable. They have different plans for as much protection as you want but I go for the $9.99 cent standard subscription per month and believe me it is so worth it to know where your vehicle is 24/7 365 days out of the year. It's super easy to use and they have great features too. Such as notifications if you're driving too hard or driving crazy it will notify you to slow down don't break so hard. Most of all don't drive crazy you can set the miles per hour to what you're comfortable with mine set to 80 Maximum speed. That's on the freeway of course. The Carlock actually helps you not get tickets. And drive safer whoever's driving the vehicle you can monitor your kids driving your car or truck. Or if you have the mobile Carlock you can have it on a piece of your machinery and find out where it is at all times a case to get stolen such as a cement mixer I personally will always have this app no need for a LoJack You can monitor several vehicles at 1 time inside the app. I recommend this app to all of my friends and family you can't beat it and for the low low price Carlock is unbearable by any other GPS car, vehicle Or machinery Location finder I love car lock and wouldn't trade it for anythingTake my word for it it will be so worth your time and money to invest in such a small device an application for $10 fee per month subscription I love you Carlock you're the greatest!Paul Angel 🚘👼🎸

I was in the market for getting a GPS Tracker with an alarm. I am old school, I was looking for an alarm that sounds loud and everyone can hear it. This is NEW technology, when you buy the (motion sensors ) extra. They go off as soon as the car detects any movement and the APP on your phone goes OFF LOUD. There is no excuse I did not hear the alarm. At the car there won't be any sounds. This is good because the person messing with your car will not know. Giving you time to act in which ever way you decide is safe for you.The app gives you GPS TRACKING depending on the subscription you purchase. The subscriptions are the most reasonable on the market at this moment. It also lets you set an alarm at any top speed you want. Anyone driving the car goes over that speed the alarm will go off on the APP on your cell phone. It also rates the way you drove your trip letting you know where you were speeding and where you did hard stops. The app also shows you how many miles you have driven on a monthly basis in case you want to keep track of your milage. Trips you have taken and length in time of each trip. Many more features, I just want to give you an idea on what you will get with this unit.As far as the Unit I purchased the OBDII extender and placed the unit away from my OBDII. No one knows I have the unit installed except me. Plus it leaves the OBDII open for any time you might need to access it. This unit also activates the alarm on a timer. The app lets you set up the time you want the unit to activate after you have turned off the car.I purchased the unit I also purchased sensors for each door of my vehicle as well as the tag. The TAG is one of the greatest add on I highly recommend. What the tag does is activates and deactivates the alarm automatically when you come close to your car automatically. This way you won't have to do it with your cell phone before you open your car.All in all if you want something that will not break the bank and will give you a piece of mind I will highly recommend this unit. The only thing is that in order to make this GPS ALARM work the way it is intended to don't SKIMP out on the add-ons. Buy the add ons you need because you will save on the monthly subscription and have a piece of mind. UPDATE:NOT in the instructions or the help section of the app, but onliine: Best optimum results is the unit "pointing vertical label side up". I suggest getting the extension or splitter is required. Once installed, go to an open lot and drive in a circle about 3 - 5 times. this insures the device sees at least 3 satellites for accuracy. If using the extension, check your car's orientation on the map screen. If backwards, turn the carlock around where you mounted it. Buildings, trees, reflections will cause gps readings to be off. But if you drive around, Carlock will learn where the visible satellites are. This is true of any small gps.Cellphone notification speed is dependent on proximity to a cell tower and cell traffic. YMWV.This is not an alarm but a notification and tracking system. The built in vibration sensor is hit or miss. Don't depend on it.Easy to install and setup. Very little instructions needed. But read what is there first. They say give the device at least 7 days to learn your car, where you park it, and how you drive. This is important as every vehicle is built different, handles vibration different, and moves differently.The monitored circle sizes should be smaller than the two provided. I know gps and cellular location accuracy can be off by a few feet but the circles are too large. Add a smaller third and let us decide.Get the splitter. Do not plug into the port directly. The splitter will lock onto your OBD securely and you can hide your carlock while keeping your port accessible. Zip tie or gorilla tape the Carlock to the steering wheel column (if possible), or a metal frame under the dash for better vibration transfer.Sign up for the plus plan monthly or yearly. The basic gives updates every 30 seconds. Plus is every 15 seconds. Worth the extra $2 a month. Better realtime tracking updates and displaying precise turns.For the money, it is priceless for piece of mind.If setup properly, performance is great.
