After installation, on a bathroom sink, the hot water now comes out the cold side and visa versa. How do I fix this?

You may need to rotate the cartridge valve 180 degrees if hot/cold is swapped. Pay attention to orientation when taking apart.

Is this 1225 a genuine moen cartridge made in the usa, and does it come in a sealed package - please answers only from a recent purchaser - thank you

I did not get a genuine Moen part from my order on Dec 23, 2016. It came in a zip-lock type plastic bag with instructions. There was no Moen branding or copyrights printed in the instructions or on the cartridge, as is typical of all Moen cartridges. I paid for a genuine part and that is what I expect. Since that isn't what I got, I returned it to Amazon.

The warranty information is conflicting. Is this a 1 year or 5 year warranty or lifetime?

Customer service told me today 1yr warranty on cartridges purchased. Lifetime on fixtures purchased for original owner.

I replaced my old cartridge with this, but the faucet doesn’t stop at hot or cold. It just turns infinitely in either direction. What did I do wrong?

Hello and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The stem of the Moen 1225 One-Handle Replacement cartridge will rotate 360 degrees until the stop tube that goes through the center hole of the escutcheon plate and the handle kit are installed. For additional technical assistance, please feel free to call us at 800-289-6636. Our business hours are 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday through Friday (EST).
