Quality of the fabric and seams look great.Slid this over my rifle and it is a good fit.Looking forward to taking this out to the field on my next bear or mule deer hunt.Would I buy again.... The answer is YES

This cover is probably one of the best shooting/hunting related purchases I've ever made. Value for dollar it has exceeded my highest expectations.I recently used the Fast Case to protect my new Howa 1500 from the elements while hunting elk in the Rockies for 4 days. I put the cover on my rifle and my rifle in an exposed gun rack on the front of my 4-wheeler. I soaked through several layers of clothes every day in the mud and snow. After a ride I would sometimes have 3/4 of an inch of mud on my arms, but my gun was always dry. The cover was always doused in mud, but the action, barrel, trigger assembly and scope were always in perfect shape. The stock around the back sling swivel was sometimes muddy, but given the punishment I administered I'm happy with that. If I were going into a slightly more forgiving environment I'd be happy to use this on my wood-stocked guns.The case is simply polyester (maybe nylon? I doubt it at this price) lined with vinyl or some other waterproof material with elastics around the sides and base. The seams are not taped, so I don't know how it managed to keep water out, but it did. The material is soft and relatively quiet when hiking or pulling the case off. It's extremely easy to remove in about 1 second with practice. You just pull back and up.There are only two possible negatives I'd point out to potentially buyers. One is that it is definitely not meant to protect from impact damage. It's not padded or anything, so you wouldn't want to use it for storage or travel. The second is that you can easily end up with condensation on the gun if you don't remove the cover as soon as you're back indoors. Keeping moisture out means keeping some moisture in, so be vigilant and care for your gun, especially in big temperature swings.Otherwise I love this thing, and plan on buying more as the need arises.Sorry about the off colors in some of the photos. For size and fit reference, the gun pictured is a Howa 1500 with 22" barrel, Hogue stock, and 44mm GameKing scope.

Great gun cover hauled this deer season and had been waiting for a product like this for sometime .great price and fast shipping made this a must have for the hunter who doesn't let the weather rust his gun or stop the hunt . (Just hunt !!!)

Even with an aftermarket chassis and a big scope with a big shade this thing covers it all and keeps my rifle dry and free of dirt and mud. I've brought it on a few back country hunts and it's performed.

Protects your rifle when walking to the deer stand. Shoulder strap is comfortable also.

This does a great job protecting a rifle with NV scope, IR light, and bipod attached while allowing for a sling to be slung if traversing. The material is dense and elastic provides a snug but is easily removed when needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for the use I have. It’s not a hard body case if that’s what someone wants.

Oh yeah! This cover is skookum, and kept my rifle dry this last month hunting and camping and packrafting in the almost ceaseless rain here in Southcentral Alaska. So worth the $$!This Caldwell Cover is very functional - it does everything they say it does.I had concerns I'd notice the weight above treeline - nope. In fact, I've been glad I had it so often that I can never begrudge its weight for the cleanliness and weather protection it affords.If you think you might have use for one of these, go ahead and get it. You won't be sorry!

I'm reading a lot of reviews on this rifle cover from people claiming that it resists water. It doesn't, plain and simple. This fall I had my rifle strapped to the back of my pack with this cover on it. It took only a morning of snowfall to complete soak my rifle. This is bad for any rifle but especially for non-stainless steel rifles. I've used it in dry and dusty conditions and it performed well. Get a Black Ovis or Muley Freak if you want to keep your rifle dry!
