Eddie BauerWomen's Departure Ankle Pants

I got these for travel, because they are a super lightweight fabric that dries fast and packs small. They are just loose enough to put a base layer underneath if I need it, and with a baselayer, they are as comfortable and warm as sweats, but look much nicer. The fabric makes them nicer than typical hiking pants, and can be casual with a tee shirt or dressed up with a nice blouse. My only complaint is the lack of zip pockets in the front. These are supposedly ankle length, but on me (5'4") they are the perfect full-length pants.

I purchased two pair of these in the store in my normal size - Medium. They seemed a tiny bit big/loose so I ordered a Small online thinking that if they fit better I'd order more colors. They're that comfortable. The small didn't fit well so I returned those, but find the looser ones so comfortable that they are now my go-to summer pants. You can dress them up with a nice top or can wear them with a tank or t-shirt and look sporty/casual. They hang really nicely. Enough weight to not show every bump underneath but light enough to blow in the wind. The best feature, for me, is that they don't show sweat. I hate feeling like I'm going to stand up in summer and it will look like I peed my pants (sorry. TMI.). . . these don't show sweat. And they dry incredibly quickly. (I'm referring to the black version, not sure of the other colors.)I have scoped out the other colors in the Eddie Bauer store and will definitely be buying those. I'm not someone that usually writes reviews but these are winners.

UPDATE: XS turned out to be a much better fit in the waist nd not much shorter in length. I also ordered the S petite but I never received it - it was either never shipped or according to Amazon, it was "lost" (Tracking # received but there was no tracking history)Love the thyme green color and the lightweight fabric that drapes nicely. Amazon recommended size S but the waist is far too loose so I’m exchanging for XS and hoping it will be a better fit

I kept reading about these pants on a travel page and decided to get a pair. They are lightweight and flattering, wash up nice, and don't wrinkle. They do run slightly larger and stretch a bit (but still look good), if you are in between sizes or want a more fitted look, size down.

I'm 5'7, 165 lbs and pear shaped (bottom size 12). I bought size large in the sage green color. These pants are well-made, fashionable, and very lightweight and I thought they'd be great to pack for a trip to Europe. However, I'm not happy with the way the very thin fabric stretches too closely over my pear bottom & thighs and reveals/accentuates my bumps and jiggles. My other lightweight hiking pants have just a little more structure in their design and don't do that. These wont be making the trip with ne, but I'm considering keeping them since they are very comfortable in this crazy hot SoCal summer, and I'm actively working on toning & improving my problem areas anyway.

It’s served the intended purpose. My goal was to pack as light weight and compact as possible. The pants fit, they were comfortable, and did not wrinkleI noticed, fellow travelers, wearing similar pants.I would note note that they run slightly big.

Color is nice but sizing is off, bought 14 and feels like a 12, right in hip area

These fit “slimming” well. They were a bit snug around hips, but it does not keep me from wearing them. I hemmed them because they were bit too long to be ankle pant.

El pantalón es super cómodo, es flexible, pesa super poquito lo que lo hace una gran opción para viajar, ya que no quita espacio en la maleta y es tan ligero que puedes llevar varios hasta en la maleta de mano.La bolsa trasera tiene muy bien tamaño, cabe un iphone 13 max pro y sobra espacio!

Received these pants covered in hair and smelling like laundry soap, tags were removed and packaged in a generic plastic bag, clearly used. Returned them immediately, disgusting, not acceptable at all.
