DHP Brady Wood Bunk Bed Frame, Twin Over Full, Black

We bought this for our sons Christmas present so we had to assemble it Christmas Eve while he was with his Memaw and Papa in order to surprise him. I was irritated after unboxing it to find that key pieces were broken and hardware missing. Not something you really want to come across when you are trying to surprise a child and have time restraints. The top of the headboard and footboard for the lower bunk was assembled (that’s how it comes it appears) which isn’t wise considering the wooden dowels were broken off on both the headboard and footboard units, there was a huge chunk missing out of the foot board and around some of the holes were cut poorly. We had to drill out the broken dowels and go buy new dowels, then not all the hardware was there, so luckily we do a lot of building and home improvements so we had some extras on hand. Where a chunk was missing on the footboard is where a dowel is to be for stability and sturdiness so we had to fix that as well. I was definitely disappointed in the quality control of this. I didn’t rate it lower because we were able to fix most of it ourselvesand had pieces not been broken off it would have been an easy assembly. It did take us about 3 1/2 hours from start to finish due to the repairs we had to make. What matters most is that our son loves it and I think overall it’s a good product for the price point. Just be aware that there may be broken pieces and/or missing hardware that you may need to account for.

My kids love their bunk beds and I love the style and color. It was easy to assemble once we found the digital instructions as our box didn't come with an assembly manual. However is requires additional slats for the full size bed without it the bed does gets pushed down further then it should when laying down.

The kids liked the bunk beds. They r very nice.

Nice set. It was time consuming to put together. Some pieces have to be forced into place. The bed easily scratches and dents which is noticeable. It’s sturdy and the kids like it.

The instructions were clear and all but 2 pieces were labeled correctly. I split the set up between 2 hour sessions. 2 hours to do the bottom and 2 hours to assemble the top. I was surprised that nothing was broken during shipping. This came to IN from CA in great shape. So far there has been 1 screw that has stripped but we'll just glue it back in place. Considering my 2 and 5 year olds are the ones sleeping in the bed, it's holding up well and looks great.Update - we had to nail glue all the screws on the rail of the top bunk. They’ve all wiggled loose and stripped the holes which is crazy because both kids prefer to share the bottom bunk and rarely go to the top.

Love the bed but, bed was cracked in 2 places. Wood was cracked. Bed is sturdy but, disappointed it was damaged
