Comfortable
Should have went with this brand a long time ago. I've been through a lot of braces. Torn ACL. Stretched PCL. With this brace, I can walk, sit or stand. Perfect !

Awkward closures but provides really great support
I'm not sure whether I'm suffering from osteoarthritis or something more serious, and it's a month before I can get in for a MRI, so I needed something to support and stabilize my knee. I've tried several different knee braces over the past few weeks, and this is the only one that really did the job. I made the mistake of switching to a different brace because it had dials that limited movement, but it didn't provide enough support, so I undid about a week's worth of healing on one day. I wish I'd just stayed with this brace. My only real complaint is that the primary velcro fasteners are really awkwardly positioned. It took a little while to get the hang of putting the thing on. Other reviewers say that the velcro isn't very strong and wears out quickly. That's a bummer given the price and relative quality otherwise, but I can believe it having used it for a couple weeks.

A good and sturdy knee brace
I really like this DonJoy hinged knee brace, it;s very comfortable to wear in my opinion, lightweight, I don't think it's too bulky, but then again I don't wear girly fitting pants, so it's good to me. I actually wear this brace almost all day long, it gives me the support that I need.

Old one was better
This is my second knee brace from Donjoy and I only bought a new one because I lost weight and my old one got to big. With that said the old one was so much more comfortable with the velcro closure's being in the front, if you don’t have this one closed perfectly it rubs on the back of your knee and irritates it.

NIce brace constucted well
This is a good brace. The best part is that it does not ride down the leg while in use (most of the time). The only time it does is when the velcro buckle which is pretty thick and durable grabs onto a pair of pants being put on over them and therefore unbuclkles the strap.I have gone through many braces and this one stays in place. I have also sent 3 others back before settling with this one.I do have to laugh at some reviews on braces about how they are too tigh or not supportive enough only to see a picture of a heavy set person wearing crocs or flip flops. If you are someone of significant size do yourself a big favor and wear proper foot wear. Your knees will thank you as well as your ankles. Those sandle designs are for kids.

Fit, it's all about fit
I read the reviews on brace after brace very carefully after suffering an MCL tear. This one got great reviews, though I always look at the low reviews to see what people disliked about the product. The vast majority of reviews on any brace that gave a review of 1 or 2 were about fit and measurement. Surely this was just a case of people who didn't follow the instructions and measure carefully.Well, I did measure carefully, all three points - above the knee, below the knee, and the knee itself and several times to make sure the measurements were consistent. But when I received the brace (size large), it did not fit comfortably at all around my calf. So either go for a larger size as so many suggest or go for another option. In my case, I returned the brace with no problem and instead used the Modvel sleeves I ordered which are extremely comfortable and surprisingly provide very adequate support. Unless you have a severe injury (mine was a small tear to the left interior MCL), I would start with the last intrusive (and less expensive) option of the Modvel sleeve (two for $16.99 vs. $56.49 for this product).

The Joys Of Donjoy!
I have been using Donjoy products since a service related injury in 1991…..we all remember what happened that year. But back to Donjoy. I am once again impressed with the quality and immediate availability from a company I have depended upon for over thirty years. The sizing charts work so the fit and comfort of this device are unparalleled. This lightweight design goes hand in hand with a good looking brace.Great equipment at a great price, and couple that with “Prime” delivery and I’m on my feet again.
