💚From its gorgeous colour to the intensely shiny finish, it's just stunning!
‘Jalapeño’ is a from the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine collection. The name ‘jalapeño’ is perfectly suited to this rich green shade of nail paint. It has a highly pigmented formula that applied like a dream and was fully opaque in just 1 coat. The wide flat, slightly curved edged brush meant that I was able to apply the polish quickly and precisely using less strokes and even with unsteady hands I was still able to achieve a neat result. It dried incredibly quickly and looked fab as it was - which is handy when I’m in a rush - but as my nails aren’t in perfect condition and they have quite prominent ridges, i applied a 2nd coat as I always prefer the appearance that this gives. The 2nd coat built the colour intensity, smoothed out the appearance of my ridges and gave a beautiful glossy hi shine result.I finished with a coat of Green Origin topcoat & basecoat and 3 days on I am just beginning to see a little wear on the tips of my nails. It may be worth noting that without the basecoat & topcoat, this nail paint did begin to chip within hours of application.Overall, for £3.99, I can’t fault this nail paint. From it’s gorgeous colour to the intensely shiny finish, it is just stunning. It is easy to see why Barry M’s affordable award winning quality products are still going strong after nearly 40 years. Best of all, they are a completely cruelty free company!👌🐇💘

The shade varies according to the lighting...
‘Espresso’ is a dark brown creme shade from the Barry M Gelly High Shine collection. This gorgeous rich brown nail paint needed 2 coats for full opacity as it applied quite sheer and much lighter than the bottle on the first coat. Application was fast and easy thanks to the width and rounded shape of the fabulous brush that followed the curve of my nail perfectly and even though my hands are unsteady I was still able to achieve neatly painted nails. On my nails this definitely lives up to its ‘Espresso’ name as it is a very intense rich brown and it is noticeably darker than chocolaty brown it looks in the bottle. The shade varies according to the lighting, in dim light it is at its darkest, I have very pale skin but it didn’t give my hands a washed out look like straight out black nails do. In bright artificial light you can definitely see the richness of the brown colour and strangely, outside in daylight where I would expect it to be at its lightest, it looks intensely dark too!3 coats may be needed if you have long nails as a little streaking was visible on the tips of mine but as they are short this was only noticeable under bright light. I did apply a 3rd coat as my nails have prominent ridges and are generally uneven and doing this gave them a smoother shiner appearance - but 2 coats and a topcoat gave me my preferred result too.It lasted 2 days before it started to chip slightly - but I’m happy with this and for £3.99 I think it is an acceptable amount of wear time - I change my nail colour regularly so extra wear time doesn’t pull me in - but fabulous colours, finishes and cruelty free ethics do and Barry M has it all :) 👌🐇💘

My favourite go-to shade.
I’m definitely a fan of Barry M’s gelly nail polish. They’re very inexpensive, and look nicer and lasts longer than some high end brands. They’re also great to use for nail art stamping.Pink Lemonade is my favourite shade, it’s that perfect pretty nude/pink shade that’s popular right now, it just makes my nails look nice and neat for work, but I also like to add glitter to it (silver, holographic, or rose gold look great) and it’s a great base for nail art.I have a lot of nail polish, of different shades and from different brands, and if I can’t decide what nail polish I want to use I will always go for Pink Lemonade because it goes with everything!

💟I was more than happy to get 3 'chip-free' days wear out of this polish
‘Raspberry Ripple’ is a pretty pink shade from the Barry M Gelly High-Shine nail paint collection. This polish has a creamy formula that is highly pigmented and gave a really good coverage in just 1 coat. I did apply another coat and this added to the richness of the colour and gave it a really lovely, Gelly-like appearance. The colour did appear to be a touch darker on than it looked in the bottle and I actually liked it better on!It had a lovely wide and rounded-tipped brush that applied the polish evenly and precisely. It dried quickly with a gorgeous glossy high shine. It was so shiny on its own but I did apply a top coat, as it advises to, just to protect it and give longer wear. After 3 days wear - and a lot of hand washing and housework - this polish still looked as good as when I’d first applied it and it didn’t have a single chip! I was really impressed with this as polish can usually chip on my bendy nails within hours of applying it.I think this is an excellent polish that gives results that are as good as high end polishes that I’ve paid a lot more money for. I was more than happy to get 3 chip-free days wear out of this polish at £3.99 (9/1/21). It exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this as it is excellent quality for its price point.Best of all it’s Cruelty Free 👌 - what’s not to love?! 🐇💘
