Bought the 2" set for restoring headlights on 3 vehicles and it worked great. The shank is too thin at 1/8" - I actually managed to bend then break mine when I snagged one of those protruding bumps some older headlights have. I had no issues with wet sanding like some people seem to have which I think simple comes down to not overdoing it with the water.For two of the vehicles I went 400, 800, 1200, 2000 then polishing compound but one set was extremely stubborn and forced me to go all the way down to 150 to remove the crusty factory coating. I could probably do 5 or 6 vehicles with this kit and still have plenty of the lower and higher grits leftover for other projects simply due to not needing them.

Bought this generic set mainly to replace the 1000 and 3000 grit pads that came with my Meguiars headlight restoration kit, as it seems Meguiars does not sell the pads separately , they only sell kits ...Anyhow , these will do the job and the fact that you get 15 of each is a bonus , hopefully they will last as they are way thinner than the ones they replace , but for the price you can't go wrong !

I was trying to find a pack that had all these grits of sandpaper and this one was perfect.I had to polish a very dull aluminum motorcycle frame and this did the job. I used it with an air-gun with a small tank but best use it with an electric plug in rotary device.It comes with the pad and spindle perfect for any drill attachment.

Product is ok but in woodwork I have no use for grits in the 1000 plus category. Next ime I will look for a package that stops at 400 grit. A Thicker foam pad on the spindle would also be nice.

Sand paper is great, if you just use by hand, the adaptor wheel is garbage, it is off balance causing your sanding job bouncy and and all over the place. I was hoping for a nice smooth spinning motion but unfortunately thats not the case. I don't recommend this product! just buy plain sandpaper and do it the old fashion way, by hand.
