Excellent Chili Crisp Oil
I make my own large batch chili crisp oil at home based on Sonny Hurrell's recipe. It's so good and it allows me to use a better quality oil for a healthier final product. That said, it's time consuming to make, so this chili crisp will be the stand in. It's VERY tasty, with a pronounced Szechuan mala numbing kick to it. Spicy, yes, but not a one-note spiciness. It has layers of salty-savory-umami as well as a nice mouth feel and volume. When I opened it, I initially dipped an espresso spoon in to give it a stir and a tase. It was so good, I went back like 5 times before realizing I needed to exercise restraint if I wanted some left to drizzle over ramen, dumplings and hand cut noodles. Very addictive. Complements Shanghai scallion oil well (my preferred blend for topping everything). Money well spent.

Favorite Chili crisp oil!
Best chili crisp oil I’ve had. Great flavor and added heat. I add it to almost everything nowadays and it never disappoints! I find I like it best on eggs and curry’s! The bottle is a good size for the price and I’ve never had problems with it leaking or not sealing properly.

Salty but good
I like this chili paste, though perhaps leans a bit on the salty side. I'm used to something a little spicier and oilier. It's also a little chunky (little bean globs) so if you're looking for a smooth paste this might not be right. But the taste was good!

Great flavor
This was my first time purchasing this and it was really good, and I’d recommend it. It’s not overly spicy, and it has great flavor.

True Sichuan.
True Sichuan with numbing effect. Very satisfied.

I ain't a chilly crisp or sichuan dish expert
So, one of the prominent issues I saw in the other reviews was bad shipping. My order was well packaged so there were no issues there. Everything was good from their side. I've just been hoping to experience the exciting sichuan tear and snot inducing spice. Maybe I was mislead. Anyways, spice-wise, not much. Actually, let me first clarify. I have an asian palate for spice so I need the real powerful stuff as compared to many of our western spice loving counterparts. So yeah, pretty much no spice. The numbing effect I heard about was another experience that eluded me. The peanuts and crisp soybeans were a nice touch until there was too much of it. There was soo much of them that my chili crisp content was reduced. And with the little bottle, every little bit of the flavorful stuff counts. So I'm not pleased that I have to ration my consumption so soon. Personal experience and my taste now says that if I ever cook with this, I need to keep the soy out or only put it in when the dish is done that way the soy will still remain crunchy. Now for the flavor. It's growing on me or I'm just that much of a beggar for flavor. I've only had one other experience with chili crisp and this one lost out in flavor. Lao Gan Ma's Spicy Chili Crisp had a flavor that I prefer to this one. But that's a criticism on my side. So they did their part right.

As an enthusiast of authentic Chinese food, trying NPG Premium Sichuan Pixian Broad Bean Chili Paste with Red Chili Oil has been a revelation. This paste is the soul of Sichuan cuisine, adding incredible depth and savory richness to everything I've cooked with it. Not spicy, just flavored oil.
I buy various la-yu for my families yakisobas and had been looking for a new one to get more depth and fuller heat. This is not spicy. It has great smell and decent flavor but it’s more just a flavored oil. Even the family member who can’t handle spice at all is able to eat this one. So we likely won’t be buying this again.
