I've purchased quite a few JJC lens hoods for my 'arsenal' of Canon RF lenses. I don't think the light and glare can tell the difference between the JJC model and the Canon model lens hood but I can in the price. The JJC hoods always fit properly and function smoothly. I realize there are those that say "It doesn't say CANON so it's no good". I don't sit and read brand names, I shoot photos and have fun. Thanks JJC

Fits good. It may be just as functional as the tiny canon disk thing, but it looks way better.

It does fit the Canon RF-S28mm f2.8 lens, as advertised, however, unlike all other lens hood's it does not lock into place, instead it spins freely around the outside of the lens. Why they chose that design when all their other lens hoods lock firmly into place, I am unsure. Useable for now, but, I might find go with a screw on design later.

A little strange putting it on but once you do it works just as it should. After doing the extra ring needed to attach the actual hood, taking it off and on or reversing it for storage is as easy as any other hood.

Took a moment to get the line up set, but once set it is secure and gets the job done.

JJC does it again, this lens hood fits the RF 50mm perfectly. No creaks no struggle to put it on just simple and fluid twist and click and you’re set to go. This lens hood also has a button on the side to easily remove and store which I wasn’t aware of when I bough it but it’s definitely a necessity for me from now on. one of the best lens hoods I’ve had in a very long time at a great price as well.
