Melissa & Doug Scratch Art Sketch Pad With 12 Scratch-Art Boards and Wooden Stylus

My 7 yr old loves this. I am impressed with how much time she spends drawing with it. The pages are sturdy and well built. Fun, quality product which promotes creativity.

I purchased this as one of the basket surprises for Easter this past year, and my 7 year old was thrilled! He loves drawing his own weird things, and this scratch pad was perfect because it doesn't have a bunch of pre-printed outlines on the pages. Just solid black scratch surfaces ready for imaginative doodles! He really got a kick out of the different colors and holographic surfaces beneath each page, and I liked that there's a little loop to store the wooden scratch pencil it comes with (I can see how a child would lose it in a heartbeat otherwise). There's also a sheet of stencils in the back, although I haven't seen him utilize those.The 12 page 10 x 8 x 1" size is also just about perfect, especially for taking on the go (others I looked at were much smaller or too big with too few pages), and the spiral binding makes it very easy to draw without the pages flopping back over. The only downside is that the little black bits that fall off when scratching can make a mess, but that's to be expected with any scratch pad. Overall it's a high quality product, something I've come to rely on when purchasing Melissa & Doug items. I'll be ordering some more for Christmas presents this year!

Very entertaining for a busy 4 year old! A little messy with the shapes you can pop out.

Its another fun gift I bought for my grandson. This provides a lot of fun and it's cool to look at the neon colors.

I'm 18 but I like arts and crafts and this is a good time waster. Half are colored and half are grey and sparkly. My sister is 6 and is begging me for one so I will buy her one too. Fun for all ages

Simple, small (fits in a small travel bag), and the kids were completely absorbed until they finished using it up. It is a little messy, in that it leaves little black shavings. Not recommended if you are working over white carpet.

This was a great gift for my 6 year old niece. She particularly loved the sparkley pages and stencils, which we started off with before she moved on to drawing her own items.

Great size and value! My only complaint is that the stylus did not come sharpened so I had to use a pencil sharpener. I also wish there were pieces of paper between each sheet to prevent accidental scratching.
