Has worked well - Mostly
I've had this for about 6 weeks or more. I spread them out in the yard as evenly as possible. Mine are sticking up above ground. Unless you have one of those small augers you can attach to a drill, it's impossible to push these down all the way in normal soil conditions. Up until recently, all traces of those little mole bastards had ceased. A few days ago I did notice some new tunneling going on, and it was very near a stake that was working. Not sure what to think about that. I'll need to wait and see a few more weeks if any more develop, or if that was a one-off occurrence. If they come back I will up the game buy dropping those poison worms down their holes in addition to these stakes.

Worthless and weak
Here's the thing. This kind of product can work. I've used several variations and noticed a large drop in lawn disruptions. Occasionally an intrepid mole will disregard the noise and make trouble but they're few and far between. On the other hand, these products do eventually fail and, when they do, I notice the moles quickly return.However.... the Thanos is just, not good. For one, they're short. They don't get that noise down deep where the creatures live. They are not water proof. I can see moisture inside the top cover within days (to be fair they all have this problem). More importantly, the motor and/or battery are totally inadequate. After a few weeks, even with decent sun, the buzz they make gets laughably weak and lasts maybe one second. My latest one was like taking a hearing test, where you're not quite sure but think you heard a noise. Ridiculous. As I discovered with the other brands I've tried, when they do wear out (which takes about 4-6 months), you can usually take them apart and pull the AA rechargeable battery out, giving them some new life. These don't last long enough to make it worth the effort -- I think they're too small for a standard size battery. And they're all glued together. I haven't had the patience to take one apart. As I have had zero luck so far with mechanical traps, I will probably shell out more for sonic devices like this. But not the Thanos. Money down the drain.

These WORK!
These started working as soon as I placed them in the ground! I placed them in several of my flower and veggie gardens and the voles and moles moved on within 2 weeks! I also placed one next to my pondless waterfall, which was literally a "nest" underground for 10 years. The vermin were GONE in less than two weeks and I was able to rebuild the earth they tunneled. I left one in place over the winter (not a lot of sun, but it still worked) and there was no evidence of chewing on my shrubs or tunnels through the snow! These are AMAZING!!!!

I believe they're working
Put these out in my lawn at night. The next morning, I had two areas where it looked like someone had taken a shovel to it. I believe the sound drove two moles crazy as they worked to escape. Haven't had a problem with moles since. However, they don't seem to work on voles 😞Note that the sound emitted by these is noticeable by some but not overly annoying.

i think they are working
put these in the ground to deter ground hogs. The sound that these make is annoying but I have not seen a groundhog since i have been using them. My husband snuck and turned off the sound for a few weeks because it was bugging him...and i think the animal returned.

Arrived functional, seems to be slowly working
All of them were working when it arrived. The moles didn't take off in a hurry, but there seems to be fewer new mole tracks. 4 stars because we needed to order more. The effective radius seems to be about 10-15 feet.

THEY WORK!! WOOHOO! I don't usually review this quick, but in this case.. I have too!
I don't normally review anything quickly.. But in this case, I have too.. I got these yesterday and put them in my garden and front yard. Honestly did not expect much, especially right away.I came out just about an hour ago and went to check the garden and I find DEAD moles! Now these DID NOT kill the moles.. but the fact they DID drive them out of the ground to the surface where some other predator (note I am rural) obviously did. After fighting these damn moles for the last year, I figured it would not hurt to try these sound stakes... Man in less than 24 hours, results! I am buying another set!

These Work!
These work! After spending hundreds of dollars on bait, repellant and various types of traps, and so much time and energy on things guaranteed to work that don't, i took a chance on these. 5 acres & no moles! I used a forcefield pattern to drive the moles into the woods. When i notice activity, i move one of these and place it directly in the mound. Moles go! I figure even if i have to buy new ones each year, it's less expensive, less messy, less time consuming & it actually works. I bought 2 dozen to create a forcefield around my property. Plus, i place then all the way into the ground so i can mow over them.
