Don't get me wrong - I like this stuff a TON, but be realistic in your expectations. This is NOT Lobster Thermidor aux crevettes with a Mornay sauce, garnished with truffle pâté, brandy, and a fried egg on top; nor is it your Grandmother's Thanksgiving Day, lovingly roasted turkey in a can, nuh-uh.It is, however, pretty darn tasty in its own right in a sort of turkey-ish flavored kind of way, and a nice alternative to all the other pork-based and flavored Spam varieties (which I also like a ton!) Use it anywhere you'd use any of the other Spams. It works just as well and tastes just fine. I particularly enjoy it with 5 minute stuffing mix, chicken or turkey gravy and a side salad, but you are limited only by your imagination.Taste and convenience aside, I like the iconic, easily stackable rectangular can with the pull-ring top (and I'm old enough to remember Spam with twist key to open). Given reasonable, room temperature storage out of direct sunlight and it remains good well past the best by date. Not a big spam guy, but this canned turkey is not bad, makes a good sandwich, I'm camping until November and I needed some stuff that I could store on the shelf, I'm pleased with it !!

I actually bought a case because I saw a YouTube video on where the guy did a "SPAM test" firing pellets from an airgun through a bunch of cans of SPAN in series. I was really amused. Thus is his second channel that is no longer active. His current channel he is active on and focus's on reviving old Mac computers. Just search Airgun SPAN Test and you will get a laugh.I did eat the SPAM afterwards cutting away the parts where the pellets touched. IT tastes like SPAM!

With the less fat, about 50% less, you don't get the "fry" like the the original SPAM has. But with the less fat and the increased protein, you are getting a much healthier product.I see the addition of chicken in the ingredients too, that doesn't bother me one bit, it tastes great !For the LONG STORAGE HAUL -grab some, mine exp in late 2027 and will go several years past that as most of you already know.

I was thrilled to see this hard to find product offered in bulk here at Amazon! I paid $38 and change for it. The case of 12 arrived in good condition with Prime. However, I did have a rather lengthy wait for it. I ordered it 2/14/22 and didn't receive it until 3/10/22, but it was well worth the wait.This turkey Spam is excellent. It's not as salty or fatty as their pork based SPAM which is also good. This is very versatile. Great fried or right outa the can. You can add it to salads, casserole type dishes or right from the can sliced up. Makes a great sandwich with mayo or mustard. I even fed a can to my 2 elderly hounds as a special treat and they went crazy over it!I only wish that this turkey SPAM had greater availability. Wonderful product that's well worth the wait if need be. I'll definitely be ordering this again when it becomes available. Try it out and you're going to like it!I only buy items sold and shipped by Amazon, rarely from any 3rd party seller.
