Worth the splurge!
I waited for 10 years to buy a new hair dryer because the cheap travel dryer I got in college still works. These new dryers are not cheap!!! I want to be sure my $100+ of hard earned money is going to a dryer that is worth the splurge. Before purchasing a dryer I did hours & hours of research and also read the customer reviews for many different hair dryers (T3, Harry Josh, Elchim, etc). Went with this BaByliss and I LOVE it. It is expensive, but it is worth it!!! There is a noticeable difference in the way my hair feels, shines, and moves after I use this dryer compared to my old Conair travel dryer (which is a good dryer too, still working after 10 years). I have fine shoulder length hair, and the reviews mentioned this was a good dryer for many hair types, including fine hair. For thicker / longer hair I would imagine this dryer would still work well and cut down on drying time. This dryer has LOTS of power, I think my hair dries in about 5 minutes on the "warm" setting. (there is "cool" "warm" and "hot") Plus, it gives my hair so much SHINE!Yes the control switches are on the handle, so at first this takes some getting used to, as to not hit them accidentally with your grip while drying. But after 2 times using it I was not hitting the switches anymore.I was unsure about the white color when I ordered it, but now I LOVE the color - I store all of my hair tools in an organizer under the sink and all of the tools have black cords - the white cord is so easy to find immediately!!!This is hair dryer is worth the splurge.

Best Dryer I've Had
For several years I have used a cheap, drug store hairdryer, with the concentrator held on with tape. It finally died, and I spent a lot of time reading reviews for a replacement. I knew I wanted a tourmaline dryer, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. I finally settled on the BaByliss Pro, and I love it! I have long, wavy, very thick hair, but my strands are fine, so I am no stranger to frizz, and accustomed to taking 45 minutes to thoroughly dry my hair. This dryer has changed how I dry my hair. It is lightweight and much quieter than my previous dryer. The concentrator is much narrower, so therefore the airflow is more concentrated. Best of all, my drying time has been halved, and my hair is smooth, soft, and shiny! It is no longer a chore to dry my hair, but a pleasure. My only complaint is that the "cool" setting is really more "warm", and the "warm" setting is hot enough that I never use the "hot" setting. Now I just need a diffuser for the days when I want to encourage my natural wave.

Excellent Blow Dryer -- Highly Recommended
This powerful blow dryer dries my mid-length, thick, and somewhat coarse hair quickly and without burning up my hair and scalp. The key is very powerful airflow vs. extreme heat. I couldn't touch the barrel of my old blow dryer after I used it, it was so hot. This blow dryer does not run hot like that, but works really well. I have never had a blow dryer leave my hair so smooth and shiny! Often--like today--I don't do another thing to it after drying it. The tool is lightweight, fairly quiet, and has a long cord. I wasn't too crazy about the idea of the pearl white finish when I ordered it, but it is actually a nice looking styling tool. I would definitely purchase this blow dryer again.

Super fast dry time, light weight, professional dryer
I have had SO MANY hair dryers over the years, and this is BY FAR my favorite. If you're looking for a professional grade, lightweight hair dryer that dries hair super fast, I highly suggest trying this out! As others have said, it cut down my dry time by half from other cheaper dryers I've used (I have medium thick, curly hair that I straighten most often). With it's light weight, my arm doesn't get so tired like it does with other dryers. I bought this item back in 2012, using it multiple times per week, and it's still going strong. I bring this everywhere with me, as can't stand to be without it, it works so well. I don't use the attachment, so I can't speak to other's reviews mentioning it falls off. I do, however, use this with a universal diffuser for when I wear my hair curly, and it fits perfectly.Update: Thought I'd mention that it's now Feb 2018 and this blow dryer is still going strong!! Wow!!!

Good solid dryer.
I've owned dryers from both ends of the spectrum, $10 drugstore and $300 'professional' grade types. I recently got a great deal on a T3 Featherweight 2, and I liked it, BUT. It was really big, the concentrator nozzle spun without holding its place, and I just didn't think the results justified the price, even with the deal. This one caught my eye - after having used it a week, I have to say I like it, and the results on my straight, Asian hair is on par with the T3. While I certainly wouldn't pay the $99 retail price on this, I think this is a good solid dryer for this price, a few steps above from the dryers you see at the $25-$40 range. It is fairly quiet, lightweight, smaller sized, dries efficiently, and does seem to consistently deliver the results you'd expect from a tourmaline ionic dryer - shine, low frizz, sealed ends. Wish the concentrator nozzle was the same pretty white, but at least it does not spin around. Minus one star for the mismatched nozzle, and no storage bag - at this price point and MSRP, I expect a few more bells and whistles.
