the seat comes with 2 sets of straps on each side, one set higher and one lower. the lower strap sets are not useful on a sit in kayak as they are meant to keep the seat from sliding forward ( the top sets pull the seat top forward) , but you need to anchor the bottom of the back somehow.in the 3 pictures, the yellow kayak shows prior to install. notice the seat back is fine but not comfortable as too short. i placed the new over the existing one placing the front anchors at appropriate distance forward as can be seen in the red kayak attaching the top set of straps. I removed the bottom sets of straps from the buckle ( leaving the buckle in place). Then used separately sourced velcro straps ( about 12” with a buckle) to tie the new seat to the old seat back securing it back and up.I haven’t used it yet but it is a huge improvement in comfort for my old back!

Very comfortable seat. No instructions but easy to figure out. BEWARE : Each seat is bagged individually and then placed in one big bag. BUT all of the hardware was laying loosely in the bottom of the large bag, as if I was all just thrown in there. It was all there so that is a plus.

These are nice but I wished I realized that the back support wasn't more sturdy. They are comfortable but the seat part seems to slide. I did have to put the hooks into my kayak and I really didn't want a hole for the hook but it does work and better then the original seat that we had.

I was initially concerned because when I opened the package I noticed that there was no manufacturer's name on the seats and there was no parts list sheet included. I advise you not to buy this unless you intend to modify it to make it work. If failed the first time I leaned back on the seat. The strap bolt punched through the internal "brace" strap inside the seat. That piece was made of corrugated board that has no real strength. My wife said send it back. The seat looks good but there it is not strong enough. The engineer in me said fix it so I took heavy duty plastic pipe strap and threaded it through the inside and bolted the outside straps back in place. I think I made it strong enough. Caveat emptor.

They are very comfortable, feels durable, live them.

I purchased this for my paddle board . It worked perfectly and gave me the padding on the seat needed and the back support I was looking for . Very well constructed and the brass fittings work perfectly and will last for years with no water corrosion .

This was a game changer for me. i have a pelican boost 100 and the seat was just a back rest that was barely adjustable. i could go for about a hr on the lake then my back and back side would hurt. So i ordered this seat with low expectations and was blown away by it. definitely didnt feel cheap, was well put together. install was simple. back hooks attached to the eye lets that hold bungee cord down ( all ready in kayak) the front hooks i attached to were the original seat attached and i thightened down the bottem rear strap as much as i could, then the top rear strap, then adjusted the front straps till it supported my back just right. iv now done multiple 4 to 6 hr trips and have had zero back pain or back side going numb ( backside,,butt ) easy to adjust while im out on the water. this is a amazing product. 5 stars all around. and the included back bag is great for my extras. but thats the one thing thats a bit lacking in quality but i didnt buy it for the bag i got it for the seat. and could always clip a different bag on
