I've had this little guy for a day and a half. I love it. I got a good case of viral bronchitis from work, so breathing is pretty challenging. And taking a deep breath means violent coughing and crazy amounts of pain. But I can actually breathe with this little guy! I suck in the vapor and I can breathe deep for the first time in weeks.SOME THINGS TO NOTE:* It pees a lot...like a lot. The condensation builds up on the base around the vapor port and drips everywhere. I put it on a "thirsty stone" coaster and that seems to have done the trick. Be prepared, though. He'll pee on your desk.* The water bottle fits fine. I bought a bottle of Aquafina straight out of a vending machine and put it to work. Some reviewers gave crappy reviews because they said the bottle didn't fit. Reading isn't un-American, people. It's in the product description AND the owner's manual. There's an adapter. Use it. If you're traveling, screw the adapter to the base so you don't forget it.* I used water straight from the vending machine. It was super cold and super wonderful!! I can see where using refrigerated water in summer could equate to dropping your body temperature.* Your friends will tease you. It's the shape...and the fact that you're inhaling vapor. I coughed my bronchitis-infected cough in their faces. It was fine.* Once I add EOs, I will add that bit to the review. I am a staunch believer in EOs, so I think that will yield wonderful results.==================UPDATE==========================So there was a small amount of water in the little indent where the fog comes out. Once you dry that little bit of water, it doesn't pee anymore. Huzzah!

One did not come with the cap adaptor, which rendered it useless and the company did not respond at all to requests for one until I filed a complaint, then they just refunded my money. (I see they are no longer selling them on amazon.) Of the other two, one (Frog brand) worked like gangbusters right out of the box. I used distilled water, as requested. The flow of steam was thick and fantastic. For about 3 weeks. Then it just quit working. It was plugged in, not on battery, so I changed the filter, changed the water, nothing made it work again. The third one had a slight stream of steam from day 1. It worked longer than the other one, but finally gave out after about 5 weeks. I really loved these! They are perfect for use in small spaces and different rooms of our home when I badly need humidification. We have a "real" humidifier but it's huge, clunky and the heavy water tank constantly has to be refilled. And those are expensive! These, apparantly are not the solution though. Dang it!

I was hoping this would produce enough humidifying mist to be useful for travel (hotel rooms, etc.) but it didn't in my tests. It runs through about 1 oz of water every hour or two. That isn't enough to make a difference in the humidity, even in a small room. I put it in a small bathroom with windows and door closed. I ran it for several hours and the hygrometer (humidity meter) showed an increase of 1 percent in the humidity level in the room. Basically, it was doing nothing to change the moisture level. I gave it an extra star because it is nicely packaged and doesn't leak. I gave it a further extra star because the company was proactive and offered a different replacement humidifier for me to try.

Very nice and portable humidifier. I keep it at the top of my bed to help with breathing at night and to keep allergens down. I also like to use lavender oil or eucalyptus as well. I travel for a living and take it on the road and it works well. Must use water bottles with the longer thread rather than short thread. I accidentally cracked mine threading the adapter to the unit but the seller was very good to send me another one to replace it. I recommend once screwing the adapter into the unit to unthread the water bottle and leave the adapter in place to keep from damaging the unit.

Really wanted to like this product but it makes a total mess. I held the humidifier upside down with the bottle upright and then quickly turn over - since the bottle doesn't screw in (yes, I tried a few different water bottle sizes), the water just pours out everywhere. If I could find a bottle that screws in it would be much better. But it's a pretty big design flaw.EDIT: Seller was kind enough to send me a replacement part so that the bottle can screw in properly. Now it is working better. The output is still a little low, but expected for a travel/mini size.

Simply does NOT work with any water bottle we tried. Tried with standard water bottles, 2-liter bottles, even a ketchup & syrup bottle. The motor runs and will make mist, but not be bottle we tried could get a good seal.*Edit-they sent me an oil diffuser as a 'replacement' and asked me to change my review, which I will not do as the humidifier does not work regardless of whether they sent me something else. But props to their customer service for trying to make it right.

Doesn't put out very much moisture into the air. If you're looking for a humidifier to use at night, this is not it. I read the instructions and the reviews explaining how to use it and it still didn't work. I ended up donating it in the hopes that another person could enjoy it.Edited to give them 2 extra stars for sending me a much better replacement. Glad to know they take complaints seriously but still don't want people to think this humidifier is worth purchasing, it's not.

Worked great for a bit. Appears to have had some type of flaw in the material and found serious damage. Hoping for a replacement.Update 2/22: replacement was sent....Before I requested it!Well done NEXGADGET! This kind of customer service makes all the difference.....I will definitely shop this seller again.
