Meh....not really brighter at all. But they are "instant-on".
Disappointed. About the only difference I observe between these LED bulbs and the incandescent bulb it replaced is its instant "on" performance. But as far as brightness- I did a side-by-side comparison and the "old school" 1157 bulb is EVERY BIT as bright...and maybe a taste brighter!I installed these on the taillights of my Flagstaff MicroLite travel trailer.

I like em
Works and looks great. Could be a little brighter, but it still reflects off of signs quarter a mile away. People continually flash you tho cause they hate em.Update, after 4 months one burned out. Their cheap enough to replaceUpdate 2: a month later the other one burned out

and they fit in just fine. They're super bright by themselves
I installed these into tail light / brake light on a Triumph Tiger. They're bright, and they fit in just fine. They're super bright by themselves, but the red lens filters out quite a bit of the "OH MY GOSH" brightness. Overall they're better than the incandescent bulbs if they last a long time. But the originals did last 35,000 miles. I won't know how long they last until they die, so 4 stars. I would buy them again. I need all the light I can get to wake people up from their electronic toys they use while driving.

Fits my 2012 BMW G650GS Sertao Motorcycle for brake light. WAY stronger than stock bulbs.
Very pleased with these. I've got a 2012 BMW G650GS Sertao Motorcycle. The BMW manual calls for "P25-2 / 12 V / 5 W / 21 W" as the bulb. Doing some research I found that the P25-2 bulb is the same as the BAY15D or 1157. However, many bulb sellers group a bunch of other bulbs into what they call 1157 it seems. BAY15D is the exact for sure replacement for the one BMW calls for in their manual.Specifically, as you look at the base of the bulb there are two important distinctions:#1) For your Brake / Running light you need a dual base, meaning two contacts on the bottom. This allows for essentially the "high / low" feature of going brighter when you hit the brakes. This has that.#2) There are two little "lugs" or "bumps" on the sides of the base which must fit into your socket. On the BAY15D one of the two parallel lugs is higher than the other one, which you can see in the photo.* Important to note is that these bulbs are 2" long, which is longer than the stock bulb. I had plenty of room so no problem, but check yours before you buy.* So far I have had no errors or faults, but I do not think my bike has the CANBUS feature on it. No resistor was needed, just plug and play here.* SUPER BRIGHT! People behind me KNOW for sure that I'm stopping. I feel much safer with these. I will update my review if anything changes for me.

Work great. Lots of light output
Work great. Lots of light output. I bought them to replace a set of halogen headlights on an older Kubota tractor and the difference is impressive. The construction seems good, nice and solid and all of the diodes work. They'd have been a 5-star if it weren't for some flicker at low rpm's (throttled back all the way and idling, so it's mostly irrelevant, but it is there)
