They are very sharp and sturdy.

I was very impressed with the build quality for v-punches at this price point. While they came out of the box decently sharpened, being a bit compulsive about tool sharpness, I couldn't resist putting these on an extra fine diamond board to smooth out the grind marks and then a strop with green compound. I was rewarded with a wickedly sharp edge.In terms of equivalent fractional measurements; 20mm is pretty darn close to 1" (.98"), and 40mm (1.57") is a little more than 1-1/2" (closer to 1-5/8", and the 30mm (1.18") is slightly less than 1-/14".

I have issues using them with a leather hammer and getting them through leather. However when I put them in a punch press easy peasy. So I may just not have enough strength to use them with a hammer. They have a very clean cut and I like the shape of punch. The box is also nice.

These are very sharp, heavy duty, and a great quality for the price. They are still as sharp as when they were new. These have worked great for all of my leather projects. I’ve used them on thin 1 1/2 oz leather on up to 6 oz leather, and they give me a precise clean cut every time!

This set is perfect for making cuts on belts. There is not much more to add to the review. This set just works. Nice clean crisp cuts. Would recommend this to anyone doing leather work.

In leather working, you can spend a few bucks or a lotta buck for these type tools. Some places sell single punches for hundreds. I am not really sure what the quality difference is, but when these arrived, I did some polishing (as I do with pretty much ALL my tools) and did some test punches.They punched easily and cut the leather clean. I like the fact that I can use these for different size leathers and they aren't specific on size.I would purchase from this company again with the same expectations.
