Underrated Text for Shelf Exam
I'm a third year medical student who used this book during my Ob/Gyn rotation as reference and to study for the shelf. It has good explanations for basics like fetal monitoring, stages of labor, etc. It's comprehensive for shelf topics and is in a semi-outline format that I find much easier to ready than blocks of text. Between UWorld, UWise, and this book I aced the shelf. Only complaint is its hard to carry in white coat, but you can roll it in half and make it work.

All you need to pass ob/gyn shelf
great book to learn all you need for Ob/gyn shelf. Also for those who use UWORLD, im sure you know the pain of going through all the questions and having to annotate all the new things youve learned in uworld, with this book and most of the first aid series for shelf exams, those days are over! such a great buy, im a fan of the series

Great Book for Clerkship and Shelf Exam
I bought this book and Blue Prints OB-GYN for my third year OB-GYN clerkship. I really liked this book. The layout makes it easy to read. Topics are listed in bullet point format with high yield information on the side columns. I would not use this book alone for the shelf. I feel that each book offered some study tips that the other did not have. Much of it was repeated in Blue Prints. If I had to choose one book, I would choose Blue Prints. I don't regret buying it. I read it entirely and felt it did help me on the exam.
