Fun STEAM project, a way for kids to be creative
These are a fun, hands on project! I bought these for my kindergarten classroom and put them in a STEAM bin. Students were excited to use their imagination and build a variety of projects. They are easy to use, even for young kids. There are fun colors, they are pretty sturdy, and a little bit bigger/thicker than a straw. I think students gain a lot and can be their own engineer with these. The price was good for a lot of product,

Great product, be careful if it’s a gift for your children
This is a great idea! Love the product however, I was not happy with Amazon with how it was delivered. The product comes in a very convenient box with a handle for carrying around and easy storage. I was buying this for my kids for Christmas and instead of putting this in a brown box they slapped the label directly on the product therefore my kids saw it sitting on our front porch. They wanted to dive right in and since it can’t be a surprise anymore I let them. They started building right away as did I :) it is a little flimsy if building tall things but thats good in itself for them to figure a way to make it sturdier. it’s fun, colorful and easy to use. I have a 6 and 4 year old. I will be buying more for gifts.

Hours of fun
Our girls love these! They can build and be creative in 3D! They aren't the strongest, but being that they are plastic straws, they're about about as strong as we expected them to be. We've have no problem building towers and getting them to stay standing. The bag they come with to carry everything is nice as well. Definitely a good buy for the money.

Not sturdy for big structures, but still fun for small building.
My kids enjoy these SO much! They’re super easy to assemble. At first they were making huge structures in hopes of putting a sheet over it to make forts. At a certain point the structure can’t even hold itself up. These are great for building small structures, but not sturdy enough to be the bones to a fort. Once they started building smaller things- it was a lot more fun!

Best gift for a littl e builder
My son loves these! He received an Amazon gift card for his birthday and picked these out. I was skeptical that these would not be as fun as he thought or hold up after one use. I was wrong on both counts! He has built some really cool stuff and really gets his imagination going! They are sturdy enough that he built a fort and a light sheet could be draped over his structure. We have had these for 2 months and the are played with almost daily. They show no signs of wear at all. We sent a set to my nieces and nephews and they love them just as much. Great buy!

A GREAT choice to promote creative play - easy to use, sturdy, and come with a storage bag!
My toddler LOVES these - they are a fantastic creative play toy, and the quantity/quality for the price CANNOT be beat (and believe me, we looked around before buying these)... She got a small package of "Monkey Stix" with her Fingerling monkey for Christmas, and loved building with them - but there were 20 straws and 20 connectors, so she could not build much. I'm a fan of imagination play, so went looking for more - the actual Monkey Stix she had received were more expensive for that 40-piece pack than this set was for 300 pieces, so it was a no-brainer which I would try. I was a bit nervous, wasn't sure the pieces would all work together or that the quality would be high, given the low price, but as soon as we received them every worry flew away. These are actually a bit sturdier than the originals she had, and they came in a great plastic zippered bag for storage. Not only do these encourage her to build novel constructions, they help her learn patience and perseverance - these are, after all, plastic straws and there are inherent limits as to their flexibility. Sometimes they pop apart because she's tried to force them into a bizarre, gravity- and physics-defying form - but because there are so many pieces (and they are plastic straws, and can be cut into smaller pieces if you want even more parts/sizes for different creations) and because they are so easy for small hands (and larger, mom-sized ones), the fix is usually manageable, teaching not only patience/perseverance but also creative problem solving.

Fun for All Ages
I recently bought a bunch of STEM toys for my 2nd grade classroom. I got several different things like bristle blocks, brain flakes, cogs and wheels, building tubes, and these. My own children, ages 11-16 all liked the straws the best. Today my nephew, who is in the third grade, came over and I got all the toys out for him. He played with all of them but he loved the straws the best. He made different creations at first and then decided to use them all to make a tower. This toy seems like it might be boring, but it is surprisingly fun and easy to create lots of different things with it. My 11 year old said it was calming. Even my husband liked playing with it! Since it has been such a big hit, I'm going to order another set for my classroom.

Love these
Really great for family time. Straws and connectors are easy to use for little hands. These straws help grow the imagination with so many things you can build.
