For comfort around the house, look no further than this Camper moccasin from Tamarac by Slippers International. The supple suede upper feels divine, while the soft lining keeps you warm and comfortable. A rubber outsole allows for light outdoor use. Slippers International is still very much a family business. The origin of their fine slipper-making dates back to their 1930's ancestors. Nearly 75 years later, they still maintain unsurpassed quality in their slipper making. Review: Forget stupid clog designs! Get slippers that stay on your feet! - At last, a good pair of slippers! Someone bought me a pair of "Memory Foam" slippers for Christmas. I tried to like them, but I didn't. I hated them from the first minute I put them on until I got sick and tired of leaving a slipper on the stairs after picking up the mail. Those things were aptly named, all right: slippers. They slip right off your feet! I mean who in their right minds makes a pair of shoes or slippers with little or no support at the back of the foot so that the darn things won't fall off your feet? Clogs, they call them. What a dumb idea! When I put a pair of shoes or slippers on my feet, I want them to stay there until I take them off. I don't want to be slipping out of them. Nor do I want to walk in a funny way just to make sure that they stay on. These moccasin slipper fit my need perfectly. They're soft. Well-padded. Warm. Attractive looking. And they stay right on my feet where they belong, not on my mind causing me to worry that they're going to slide off and cause me to fall, or trip, or curse and throw the useless things out into the snow. Forget about stupid clogs. Get yourself a real pair of slippers. These are worth it. Review: Comfy but lacking durability - I purchased these in December 2009 and just over a year later (it's January 2011) the leather by my right big toe has completely worn out - my toe does not press against that spot but I presume the leather is weak as there is now a 1-inch diameter hole there. Additionally, the laces are very poor quality as the laces on both slippers broke within the first six months of use. They don't stay tied very well and the laces broke when tying them. I give the slippers high marks for comfort and traction (the soles have treated me well) but the just don't have the durability of others I've had in the past (namely my Eddie Bauer slippers that lasted almost 5 years with everyday use but cost almost $50).

Cheaply made
The fit was about right and they were relatively comfortable, but I broke the lace when I tried to tighten it. I then carefully pulled one end of the lace out and used the extra length on the other end to make an awesome self-invented knot to hold it together. Just by virtue of walking around, the lace broke again a couple days later. In a fit of anger, I took the four inch piece that fell off and broke it by pulling apart with my hands. You could probably lace it yourself with an actual shoestring, but for me it wasn't worth it, so they're currently in the trash. After looking at the reviews, it looks like other people had the same problem.

Nice but sized very small (Initially)
I usually wear a 12 E and decided to buy a 13E after reading the issues with small sizing. Got them in today. Holy Cow. They are small. My toes are digging into the ends and I went up 1 shoe size. They are tight. Had to take my socks off to even have alittle room. I hope after alittle wear & tear they feel better. First impression is they are not(or will be) as comfortable as my worn out LL Bean slippers. Not sure how large I would have to go to have them feel good. Very odd design. My front feet are tight and the heels slip out of the shoes. I will see. * Update: After a month or so I have broken them in to were they now fit ok. I cut the leather laces off. They didn't do much good other then get in the way. *Update #2 Shoes fitting well and still holding up nicely after 3+ months. I changed my rating due to them becoming more wearable. I wear them everyday so they seem to be good shoes for the price.

Runs Small and Not Good Quality
I ordered these for my husband. He wears a 13 and he said they were very snug, but he hopes they will stretch out a bit with some wear. Two days after he got them, he tried to retie the laces on one of them and it completely popped! He tried to pull the lace out all the way to re-string it, and it broke again! I'm very disappointed in the quality of the shoe and would recommend searching for something else.

Great, comfortable shoe!
Contrary to some of the other reviews, this shoe is very well made. Its rubber sole makes it good for outdoor wearing, and the inside 'fur' is the softest I've seen in a moccasin slipper of its type. It's a very attractive shoe with a rich color. I would recommend using a spray waterproofer if you plan on wearing them outside everyday. In my case this shoe did NOT run small. I got a size too large and even with a thick sock, it was too large. I'd advise you to get your regular foot size. The good news is that returns are very easy.

Great shoes, terrible sizing.
This review is for the Root Beet colored moccasins. First of all, I would just like to state that I wear a size 11 tennis shoes. With that in mind, before I ordered this product, I read some reviews, of which I saw most of them saying to order a size larger because they run small, so based off of this, I ordered a 12. When I received them, they were actually TOO big for my feet. So I went ahead and asked for a replacement through Amazon, of the size 11. A few days later, I received them and they were STILL too big. Every step I took, my heels came out of the shoes. So once more, I sent these back for a refund and ordered the shoes again, this time a size 10 which is the size I decided to keep. They do fit better, and my heels don't come out with every step, but they still are bigger than my feet. I honestly think I could have done a size 9, which is a far cry from what was recommended in the reviews. So, for anyone looking at the Root Beer colored ones, ORDER TWO SIZES LOWER THAN YOUR SHOE SIZE!

Not a great fit, shoes broke after limited use
For one thing, the shoe kept falling off of my foot despite it being the correct size. One method of fixing this issue is to tie the laces very tight. However, the extra tight laces increases the tension and on one of the shoes, after maybe 10-20 total wears, it snapped. I would not recommend anyone purchase these slippers from Tamarac. I will say that I have another pair from Tamarac which are amazing and have lasted me years.
