A phenomenal math book to brush up before grad school.With nearly 6 years since graduation this book helped to remember (and learn for the first time) many of the quantitative skills required for my heavily analytical graduate program.

Ein Klassiker, der dennoch auf jedes Bücherregal eines Akademikers vom PhD Studenten aufwärts gehört.Chiang überzeugt vor allem durch sein tiefes und intuitives Verständnis für die Materie. Spielerisch führt er den Leser durch die Thematik und bevor man sich versieht, hat man Kuhn-Tucker bewiesen oder dynamische Gleichungen verstanden.Ein kleines Manko ist, dass nach mehr als 500 Seiten kein Platz mehr ist für mehrdimensionale Systeme. Matrixalgebra ist heutzutage leider nicht mehr wegzudenken aus der mathematischen Ökonomie. Dazu muss man dann anderswo nachschlagen. Leider hat Alpha Chiang selber dazu nichts in seiner Bibliographie.
