Electric Pencil Sharpener for #2 Pencils USB and Batteries Powered for Office and School by Jancosta (Blue)

Was not going to post my review yet but I keep getting requests for one so... I can't review how well this sharpener currently works, partially due to my own negligence. I did not notice the word "USB" in the title, just the word "electric" - I was surprised to see there was only a USB wire with no adapter in the box when it came. I have been planning on going to Five Below to pick up a cheap adapter to test it out with but have not had the time so I have not gotten to test out the sharpener itself. Buyers beware though, if you are looking for an electric pencil sharpener, this only includes the wire, NOT the plug adapter.

After 2 years of using this sharpener maybe once a month, the thing is finally done. The USB wire to run the sharpener is no longer working. The case that keeps the casings definitely falls off easily. The razor inside sometimes eats up whole pencils and breaks the lead and doesn't quite sharpen sometimes. It's not consistent. You definitely get what you pay for. This will go in the trash today. 3 stars because it worked at its peak in the first 6 months. after that it went downhill.

Great sharpener. Easy to use. I love the USB plug option especially since I only use it in the house. My only con is that the entire unit must be dumped over trash can because the shredding reservoir doesn't hold the shavings without falling out. But that's minor. I bought this with my own money.

I purchased this for home. It's sufficient. It's fast and sharpens well. However, the shavings are large peelings, not finely shredded. The shavings receptacle is very small and needs to be emptied often because of this. I've also noticed with decorative pencils, threadlike pieces get wrapped around the blade holder. I don't know if this will lead to problems later since we've just started using it. As a teacher, I would definitely NOT use this in my classroom. It's way too small and you will constantly need to empty the receptacle.

Good sharpener, works well. I like that it works by USB. I just wish the part that captures the shavings was constructed a little differently. Made quite a mess when I opened it to empty it.

looks okay, sharpens well but feels like it doesn't have enough power and is going to burn out in the not to distant future

I love my mini pencil sharpener. It failed to meet only one hope. I wanted to use my portable battery charger to power it, but it wouldn't even work with my laptop on standby - it had to be on. A minor issue as it works quite well USB or battery powered. It sharpens to a fine point very quickly. I'm quite happy to have every pencil in the house sharpened for once. Just don't keep sharpening. Unlike the loud ones there's no noticeable drop in sound when it completes sharpening. So you can waste quite a bit of pencil if you don't pay attention.

I bought two of these - one for each of my kids. One works fine, the other never worked and just went in the trash. I will step up to something a little better quality next time.
