I had been looking for a bit of time for a Secure filing cabinet!I saw this at a couple other online stores, as well as Office Depot, for much more.Finding this same cabinet on Amazon was a Great buy for me.It came in (perfect) condition, no dents or scratches.One thing about this cabinet that I was looking for was a lock-system for both drawersthat was not on one of the drawers, but separate - I find the cabinets with the lock onthe drawer to have flimsy or thin metal used, that can very easily be bent.-I do understand that this is really a stop-gap; if someone really wants in, they can.I do recommend this cabinet to anyone that is looking for a sturdy and secure file!

This is not a new filing cabinet, it has been shipped to a few people because there were still old labels on it but the recipient's name was ripped off. That's just on the outside. When I opened the top of the box, there were two very small ripped pieces of styrofoam protecting the top. While the bottom had a complete foam and cardboard ending. Also the keys were ripped off the side and twisty tied to the interior of the drawer. There were dents ALLLL over the cabinet. Do I expect a 100% perfect cabinet? No. Will it still function? Yes. But I expect it NOT to look dented on every corner of the cabinet. I'm debating on returning this, I don't know if it's worth the hassle to go through the return process. I should have received a discount at the very least because I paid $104 but the "used" price is $71.27.

I ordered six of these because I had a small space to fill and these seemed to be the best size for that small space. I bought one to check out and it arrived on time in perfect condition, so I went ahead and placed an order for the other 5 I needed. All but one of the 5 arrived with various dents everywhere from the flimsy casing to the drawers themselves. A pair of pliers and a hammer made the drawers and the casing acceptable but because of the way these are packed, getting one free from dents is a minor miracle. One was locked and the keys were inside the top drawer. I had to twist the lock and remove it to get the drawers to open, so that added to my disappointment. However, they are too large and way too bulky to go to the trouble of shipping back; besides in my situation, they are being mounted underneath a workstation countertop enclosure so most of the dents, except for the ones on the drawers themselves, are not seen. Asking for replacements will probably result in another set of dented cabinets. Also... UPS lost one of the five I ordered (how could they lose something so large???), so Amazon was quick to send a replacement at no cost...kudos for that. Bottom line - these are very good, spacious cabinets for their size, and if you don't mind a few blemishes here and there as a result of their poor packing, they will get the job done. I'm giving them four stars overall; if they improve their packing, they deserve five.

The filing cabinet is a nice sturdy one but one corner of it is badly damaged and bent even though the package looked perfect. The only reason I'm not returning it for a replacement is that it would be too difficult for me to package it again and have someone carry it down the stairs. Disappointing but functional.

Read some of the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, ordered two, they were well packed, no dents or scratches, drawers opened and shut without issues, key was twist-tied to the inside of the top drawer. They were not to heavy for going upstairs, one person can manage, and at 68, I did fine. Highly recommend. Good bang for your buck.

The drawers on my last two drawer filing cabinet collapsed inwards, making it impossible to open them up, and it was only six years old . That said, I wanted something that was much more sturdy and the description of "commercial" seemed to have the promise of a construction that was a cut above a purchase from Staples where I bought my last cabinet. So far so good. I really like the ease of how the drawers glide in and out effortlessly and the fact the very back of each can be accessed easily as I have each drawer filled to capacity.

I read the reviews and saw that many buyers complained about damaged file cabinets, but I decided to chance that I would get a good one. Not to happen. Big dent in back of cabinet. But sliding rails are better than most other cabinets, and the size was what I needed for available space. I did not return item as damage was in rear, and would not be seen once in place; and the functionality was not impacted.
