From the Manufacturer The E-2C Hawkeye was the sole AEW platform in the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force from 1983 until 1998. Japan is the world's second-largset operator of the E-2C force. The E-2C Hawkeye has a trio of detection systsems that can detect sea and land targets in excess of 300 nautical miles. The radar coverage allows them over 30 minutes of warning time against hostile intruders flying at Mach 1.0 speed. This plastic model kit features a fold wing and full wing span option, SATCOM equipment, an open side door, surface details with recessed panel lines, a cockpit with instrument panel and seats, and a movable propeller.
