The cat loves it even tho' it's hard for him to sit/lay still. It pretty much took a lot of the shedding hair out for the first few nights and seemed to curb his shedding somewhat. I believe it needs to be used often, tho', for when I didn't brush him for a few nights, he began dropping little clumps of hair again. So I ordered the "brush" but it looks like a comb to me since it has "teeth", and I ordered the dry shampoo which recommends using prior to using the "brush". That was a "circus" in itself between him and me. Anyway, after his hair dried, I used the "brush" and did get more hair from him. Again, I need to do it more often, I'm sure. He doesn't seem to mind the "brush/comb", tho', which from other reviews I'd expected him to be "done" with that but he actually stayed more "still" then w/the mitt and even purred!

My dog loves to be rubbed on with this glove. He is a short haired lab mix (80 pounds, at that!) and we have to constantly brush him. While he does enjoy this glove, it certainly does not remove nearly as much hair as I would hope. We use it in combination with a furminator and have much better results. It will be great in the bath but as far as general grooming, for us at least, it cannot be used as a standalone

The glove works really great on both my long-haired cat and my short-haired jack russell terrier. The cat hair isn't too difficult to clean because it is long enough to get hold of it. The JRT hair is another story. Her hair is super short. The glove has a little static cling or something. Her hair is too short to grab. And since the glove is "clingy", it is very difficult to remove.

I have a medium-haired dog who sheds quite a bit. Plenty of hair was in the brush after the first use. Dog didn't mind brushing, and seemed to like it. Would buy again.Only issue is that it doesn't clean that easily; difficult to get hair out after cleaning.Seller emailed before item was sent, after and once again to check my level of satisfaction. Great customer service!

I think it would've been nice if this glove came in different sizes so that it fits your hand better. I used it to groom my cats, whose fur is long. I have a domestic medium hair, and he sheds like crazy. This glove won't get the undercoat. You will need a real grooming brush for that job. Also, if you have a cat, I think that "free" travel cup is useless. I threw mine away.

I read the reviews about chihuahuas who were scared of brushes loving this product. That was awesome because I HAVE a chihuahua petrified of being brushed. She's still petrified of this glove. She runs from the site of it. Other than my freaky dog not liking it, it really doesn't pick up much hair. I used it on two other non-anxiety ridden animals and it just didn't seem to work very well.

My dog loves this glove, he's a big Old English Sheepdog with a haircut, but I only like it because it's too big for my hand and the velcro strap isn't long enough to secure it to my wrist so it is constantly circling my wrist. If they added a longer velcro strap and secure piece-- it would be GREAT!

Overall this is a good product. The positive is that my dog enjoys this way more than a regular brush. The one somewhat negative thing it doesn't hold as much fur as I hoped it would before filling up. My dog is just an extreme shedder so it's no fault of the mit. I still recommend the product.

I originally bought the Furminator brush but when our shorthaired pup started to shed and grow in his adult coat, it just wasn't up to the job - the plastic prongs are so short it just didn't grab the hair and it was hard and really uncomfortable for the dog who hated it. My friend had a glove brush so I looked for similar. This really is excellent - it's comfortable and relaxing for the dog and brushes him super efficiently. He's still shedding like a snowstorm so I use it every day and he loves it. I have one suggestion for the manufacturers and it's the glove is right handed - it would be great if you could also make one for lefties or had the prongs on both sides for all to use. Great product, highly recommended.

I have a smooth coated Jack Russel and have been using a brush to groom her but it has proved to be very ineffective. I then saw this item and thought I would give it a try. I have quite large hands and it fits well with room to spare. My dog loves it and will actually bark to be groomed if she sees the glove. I could not believe the amount of loose hair it removes from her. It is very easy to clean. I also like the free collapsible water bowl. I wrote this review in 2016. That glove has now just worn out May 2022 and I’ve purchased a second one. Excellent product which I can highly recommend.

This is a useful grooming glove for use on the right hand. Our recently adopted anxious cat hates to be groomed and has long hair. In fact he is nervous even to be stroked. We have quickly been able to manage about 20 strokes with this 'kitten mitten'. We are delighted with this progress. The glove would get 5 stars if it were a bit more flexible or if additionally offered in a smaller size..

Absolutely fantastic! Have had a few different gloves over the years for my cats but none quite as good as this. First grooming produced so much fur from my big tabby boy that I was surprised he had anything left! And best of all he loves it, lying just waiting for next stroke, amazing. I would highly recommend🤗

Hardly any hair came off my dog and the bit that did really stuck to the glove. I needed to use a brush to clean it in between strokes.May be great for some but I wouldn’t recommend. 👎
