Pears are incredibly delicious. We ate them alone as a desert. Perfect amount of sweetness. They would also be great with cream cheese, cinnamon and pecans. A pantry staple for sure. Highly recommend.

I love pears and toast for breakfast.

These pears definitely have a good flavor. They taste just like a fresh pear that has been stored in canned juice. I wish that the juice was not sweetened with sugar, but I usually drain my pears of juice, anyway, as a personal preference.The size of the pears is great, too. Each piece is half a pear. I was worried I couldn't lift it out of the jar in one piece, but it can be done! It's really a lot of fun to eat a whole pear at a time, but it can be broken up into pieces if needed. They are firmer than I thought, but I like that.The price is a little expensive for a jar that isn't large. It is a nice jar that can be reused afterward, though. I do appreciate that these pears are Amish-grown, which I am sure makes them a higher quality than what I would buy at the store.

As you can see the pears are pretty big. The pears are cut into half and placed in the jar. I had to cut them up for my kids. The pears contain added sugar, which I thought would be a hit. It does give off a different taste. They were not soft. They were definitely firm. I prefer fresh pears over these. My kids love pears and didn't like these. They said it tasted funny and were hard. So we will not be buying these again.

Delicious pears. They taste great. Large, juicy pears. My whole family loved them & I felt great serving this. Ingredients are pears, sugar, and water. The Amish Valley Products Old Fashioned Canned Bartlett Pear Halves is a deliciously sweet snack to enjoy. The pears are slightly more firm than traditional canned pears. Their firmness is similar to fresh pears, although their sweetness and the syrup gives away that these are indeed canned. The pears are very sweet, but taste great with oatmeals, nuts, and other ingredients that complement the sweetness. Because they are canned in a sugar syrup, these are not quite as strongly pear flavored as pears in juice, but have a more sugary flavor. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but is something be aware of if you want a more pure flavored canned pear. As far as canned fruit goes, this one is a tasty treat, but I will likely stick with other jarred pears that utilize fruit juice instead of sugar to preserve the fruit.
