Seville Classics Expandable Kitchen Counter and Cabinet Shelf

I love these Seville expandable shelves; they have completely transformed my kitchen cabinets. I have older-style wood, 2-shelf cabinets that are very high. Before I bought these expandable shelves, I was stacking things on top of other things in order to take full advantage of the cabinets - what a hassle to get to stuff! These shelves were PERFECT for turning those 2-shelf cabinets into 4-shelf. They are super sturdy, easily expanded, and, unlike what many have said about the slats being far apart, I don't think they are far apart at all for use in a kitchen. Also, I find that they are quite attractive and blend nicely into the rest of the cabinet despite the expandable shelves being metal while the cabinets are colored a light beige-pale yellow color. Unless people intend to have their cabinets custom-built with add-ons in the same finish as the cabinets, I couldn't imagine they would find a more attractive expandable shelf. Plus, the metal is covered with some kind of non-stick coating that helps protect things from scratches and lends the shelf a nice matte finish. I purchased several different kinds of shelves at once, and these are by far the nicest I bought. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!p.s. - I've included photos if anyone is interested

I bought two of these to hold my heavy Fiestaware dishes. I like that the slats are flat instead of round wire like other racks. The two shelf pieces fit together really well and create a nice stable surface. My cupboard looks really nice and organized now (see my pictures).

These expandable shelves are the bomb. They are a great size (measure your cabinets carefully if using inside). They are extremely sturdy and the "expandable" feature is so handy. I have 4 of these; 3 are used for dishes and one in my pantry. This shelf doubles the storage area for canned goods and is a great addition to any cabinet. I am a Fiestaware collector and I have no concern that these sturdy shelves will hold my heavy dishes. If you need to expand your storage...get these. You won't be sorry.

Over the last several months I have become like a woman possessed with organization! I started in my kitchen and have been working my way around the house. After comparing at The Container Store, I found that a lot of the stuff I wanted to get was cheaper on Amazon, so I ordered a few of these. They're wonderful!! These have saved me so much space in my kitchen! The expandable nature of these racks make them perfect for different sized spaces. I have them in my cupboards and also my pantry (see pics). I'm planning to order more to maximize the space under my bathroom sink as well!And for the record, I did NOT receive this product free or at a discount. I paid full price for it and am writing this review just to help other people who pay full price for stuff too!

This turned out to be exactly what I needed to make better use of a shelf in my kitchen cabinets. The metal is sturdier than I expected, and when you expand it, it sort of locks into place based on the crosswise metal slats. See the picture, I have quite a few glass and ceramic items stacked on top of the shelf, and it doesn't bow in any way. Seems like I could pile on much more and it would not be a problem. Good value, definitely a worthwhile investment.

These shelves are so handy that I had to buy another. I live in a small studio and I'm constantly running out of kitchen space, so I was looking for something that could help maximize my space while still looking good. They work great to double your shelving space, especially for low items like stacks of plates or short glasses. I give them 5 stars because they look great, they're super sturdy, and allow you to extend them to the right length.

These expandable shelves are pretty great. I gave it 4 stars because if you attempt to place them on top of one another they move around. The company needs to come up with a way to connect multiple shelves together so they can be more effective. My dad had to come up with something to make the shelves connect. If you use a single shelf it works fine.

I was going to go with the typical white, coated wire kind of organizer but decided to go with these since they looked sturdier. Since I have a number of other organizers I can say this is definitely sturdier. It's unlikly you will get any kind of sagging if you put heavy items on top.The reason I'm giving this only 3 stars instaed of 4 or 5 is the dimensions. I buy a lot of Hoosier Farms dried ingredients and most are in the same size container. I was going to put some below and some above so I can see them all on the top shelf of my pantry. I measured the containers, read the measurments of this product, read the reviews and everything seemed like it would be perfect. Not so for the measurements. Because of the way one shelf slides oout from another, the bottom one is shorter. Also, the measurements I saw online were most likely from the bottom leg to the top of shelf on the tallest shelf. These are sturdy so that horizontal bar gives you less clearance. The bottom line is none of my containers would fit below even on the taller shelf. I was able to work around that by just putting two side by side with all my dry ingredients on the top and cans and things on the bottom. That left me with being able to see half the ingredients on one side of the closet and then having to slide the door over to see the other half. I finally re-arranged the entire pantry and didn't use these for the intended purpose at all.A good set of sturdy, coated wired shelfs all the same heigth would have worked better for m purposes. Still.. if sturdy is your word, these are the right things.

Love the fact that this shelving unit fits perfectly under my sink -- and would be easily adjustable were I to move!!

a life saver for small homes with small cabinets!!

This shelf is amazing. I haven't tried using it as a stepstool, but I'm pretty sure it would hold my weight without a problem, and I'm no shrimp.

It's stupid how bad this is. Admittedly, I ordered two of them to put on top of my stackable washer and dryer.

Two out of the three racks that I purchased have really sharp, unfinished metal edge. If you sweep your finger over the edge of these grids or if your wrist accidentally scratched...
