Can this work on painting plastic?

Sand it first with maybe 320 sandpaper. Prime it with the acrylic latex paint and then use it

Is this paint supposed to be more like a glue? The product I recieved is very thick and sticky and hard to roll on.

Mine wasn’t. It was thick but spread over existing paint well. I would call their consumer line.

Can this paint be used on a baby’s crib?

I believe it can. I used it for a wall and it looks great, I guess it depends on what you are going to use it for. One thing I will say you have to let it dry for a few hours.
