I have a galvalum metal barn which I want to touch up areas of marks and discoloration does this paint come out to a finished galvanized color ?

Kind of a dull galvanic gray. I use it on my boat trailer.

Can this be used on painted surfaces?

You cannot use this over paint. If the paint turns loose the galvanize will to. We have a chain link fence that needed repair. We sanded off the rust on the top poles. Cleaned it with a dry cloth and sprayed our top poles. It looks brand new. You can get this cheaper at Lowe’s. It is just as good. We have used both.
