A step-by-step system for mastering trading psychology.Think about your most costly and recurring trading mistakes. Chances are that they’re related to common errors, such as chasing price, cutting winners short, forcing mediocre trades, and overtrading. You’ve likely tried to fix these errors by improving your technical skills, and yet they persist. That’s because the real source of these mistakes is not technical—they actually stem from greed, fear, anger, or problems with confidence and discipline. If you are like most traders, you probably overlook or misunderstand mental and emotional obstacles. Or worse, you might think you know how to manage them, but you don’t, and end up losing control at the worst possible time. You’re leaving too much money on the table, which will either prevent you from being profitable or realizing your potential. While many trading psychology books offer sound advice, they don’t show you how to do the necessary work. That’s why you haven’t solved the problems hurting your performance. With straight talk and practical solutions, Jared Tendler brings a new voice to trading psychology. In The Mental Game of Trading, he busts myths about emotions, greed, and discipline, and shows you how to look past the obvious to identify the real reasons you’re struggling. This book is different from anything else on the market. You’ll get a step-by-step system for discovering the cause of your problems and eliminating them once and for all. And through real stories of traders from around the world who have successfully used Tendler’s system, you’ll learn how to tackle your problems, improve your day-to-day performance, and increase your profits.Whether you’re an independent or institutional trader, and regardless of whether you trade equities, forex, or cryptocurrencies, you can use this system to improve your decision-making and execution. Finally, you have a way to reach your potential as a trader. Now’s the time to make it happen. Review: IMHO, ranks alongside 'Trading in the Zone' as the two best trading psychology books ever! - I've been fully committed to becoming a consistently profitable Trading for a number of years (and I mean, fully committed - charts up every day; spending the weekends looking to see how I can improve), without really achieving the level of success I’ve been seeking. It's only relatively recently that I have realised my 'issue' has not been in my market analysis or, indeed, even lacking an ‘edge’ but, instead, has been almost completely psychological, particularly when it comes to trade execution. Probably two years ago, I re-read, after many years, 'Trading in the Zone' by Mark Douglas and I was blown away (it seems I needed a sufficient level of experience to really appreciate its content) and, at that time, I was convinced it was the only trading psychology book a trader needed (and I've read a lot of them). It’s completely logical, easy to understand, and even easier to implement (or so I thought). However, it turns out that how I needed to view the market and, particularly, trading execution, was incredibly difficult to implement, due to the emotions that rise up during the trading process. Even to the point of knowing what not to do, and being unable to stop yourself from doing it (or is that just me?). Enter Jared Tendler’s book 'The Mental Game of Trading' - and how timely it has been (“when the student is ready……” and all that). Anyway, what this book delivers, big-time, is in helping the reader to identify where their psychological issues lie and, more importantly, provides an easy-to-understand model as to how to tackle them. I’ve certainly never read a trading psychology book that is so completely practical where mental / emotional trading issues are concerned; whether it’s fear of losing, fear of being wrong, being on Tilt, over-trading, etc. If you feel you have an emotional or psychological problem around trading; or if you are just not getting the results you think your trading system deserves, then I can’t recommend this book highly enough. I really believe Jared Tendler’s 'The Mental Game of Trading' will quickly become a standard ‘must read’ for traders, and be viewed alongside ‘Trading in the Zone’, as the best of the best. Review: It is a must read book for trading. - I think this is one of the best books for trading, the main reason is that goes deep inside and explains everything you need to know about trading psychology. Most of the famous books out there for trading are good, but this one is the one that gets you to the next level where you analyze everything with all the details. The only negative thing is that for each category fear or greed, there is always the same exercise to do that repeats in many chapters. Anyway I still consider this the best book I have read on trading the one that really improved a lot my trading psicology.

It is a must read book for trading.

Genius
I've read numerous books on trading psychology , including Bullet Proof trader, which I really like. This really is getting to the root of all trading problems (assuming your trading system works), to me it is like being taught by a mentor about everything I'm doing wrong and how to identify and come up with a solution. I've read numerous books on trading psychology , including Bullet Proof trader, which I really like but this is very far above all the classics and I think Jared Tendler has absolutely nailed it. Now I know why I think like I think, how to find my underlying flaws and that emotions are not the cause of my issues. It will help me enormously to become a highly successful trader. So in summary I cannot recommend this book enough and whether you are starting out in your trading journey or a seasoned pro with decades of experience , this book has something for everyone and providing you put the work in, will improve you as a trader no end.

If you have flaws in your trading this is the book for you
I usually leave reviews very rarely, but the information in this book is insane. It will help you to find the root of your emotional issues in your trading. And not just that, you will leard how to fix those problems in a clear way. I gain so much knowledge from this book and made me so aware of my emotions and what triggers them when I trade. It's incredible. In my opinion, is in top 1% books about trading psychology along with Trading in the zone and bulletproof trader.

Best book on trading
This is simply the best book on trading ever written. I've read hundred at least and another dozen on trading psychology. This book is better than all of them brought together. Trading is easy: buy low, sell high, but few can do it, because we all flawed. All trading strategies are well known and simple until it comes to execution. Trading strategies are perfect, but we are not perfect. The main problem is in us. This book will allow you to fix yourself, than you can use any strategy you like and start making money.

A comprehensive, practical and game changing piece of work!
A truly eye opening read, where many trading psychology books offer adages and best practices, Jared takes the time to outline the step by step processes necessary to identify the flaws and improve your mental performance in Trading. This has put together the final pieces part of the puzzle for me, will be forever grateful for his work.

Proofreading???
I started reading it but there’s quite literally a spelling, punctuation or grammatical error every other page. It completely takes you out of what you’re reading. If every copy is like this, you are essentially selling a faulty product. I will be returning it but more than happy to purchase it again once the editing has been addressed!
