High Heat Stamp: Custom Image Branding Iron (1" x 2 1/2" inch)

This stamp does work. Takes a while to heat up (I use a propane torch and takes about 5 minutes or more) and I find getting a crisp impression that is equal is almost impossible. Light colored soft woods stamp nicely... harder woods have issues. If you don't apply equal heat and equal pressure it will be darker on one part than another. Rocking it will cause shadowing. I tried putting in my drill press and had a little better luck but still not really happy with my results.

I ordered this stamp as a gift. I was very nervous because it is a custom item and knew that if done wrong it would be an expensive mistake. While the custom formatting piece was a bit tricky to figure out since I don’t have the greatest skills with computers I submitted my image pretty easily. There are size guidelines right on the customization piece of the order form and as long as it fits in the box all is well. Then I got nervous i had screwed it up somehow and called the seller anyway just to double check my self. While I couldn’t leave a message because the mail box was full he must have seen my number because he called me back within a few hours. He assured me that he would check my image and call me back if there was any question or problem with my design. He called me again 2 days later and told me that he had had to darken some of it to make it work but assured me it would be fine. I got the stamp just in time for Christmas and I couldn’t be more pleased. The stamp is sent with a piece of wood with several samples of your design burned into it so you can see exactly how it will look in use. I can’t wait to give this as a gift! It is exactly how I imagined it and I am absolutely thrilled with it!The only negative thing I would say is that the way Amazon has worked it, the item reads as shipped before the seller has even seen the design and verified that it can be done. This may be confusing as it reads as shipped within hours although it does take a few days for your custom order to be made.

I'm very happy with this product but I found the Amazon web interface very difficult to use. The web interface made it very difficult to size the image to fill the 1" square allowed space. When I finally did get the image sized to fit, I got a warning message indicating the image was not the correct 'resolution'. I almost stopped my order at that point, but after investing so much time, went through with it anyway. The burn image turned out fine and was exactly what I wanted.

I reached out to the company in late February because my iron chipped while heating it, (it remains very protected when not in use and I loved using it and the results), a replacement was offered and I'm still trying to get through and have not yet seen the replacement. Customer service seemed very attentive but I have absolutely no idea what is happening. I've provided them with all they asked for including the original Amazon order, photos, and my mailing address. Still no iron??????UPDATE...following several email communications I found out that a replacement had been sent to Boise, Idaho back in April, but I live in Minnesota. HHS processed another replacement and it just arrived today. This was a long process but the seller stayed in the loop with me and I'm once again a happy customer!

Had I read the entire description of this product I probablly would NOT have bought it, was not at all what I was expecting. With "branding iron" in the name I expected it to be metal not a chunk of carbon. The image looks very nice and all, however I am almost afraid to use to for fear it might crack or I might drop it and break it. I am sure once I try it, it will work fine, if I can get it hot enough have tried a couple times and the little torch I am using isn't doing the job. Might want to make it very clear what the product is made of instead of having it the last line in the description. Will update if my opinion changes once I use it.

When ordering my branding iron, I created a graphic that was sized exactly the way I wanted my logo to appear. After uploading the JPEG, the review image produced by Amazon’s website looked correct (a half inch logo centered in a one inch iron). However, when the branding iron arrived, the logo filled the entire inch, it was twice the size I expected.I contacted the seller through Amazon to express my disappointment. He responded in just 15 minutes. He told me that the image generated by Amazon did not necessarily represent the size he would produce the image. He also told me that next time if I send along special instructions he would be sure to give me the sizing I wanted. He also said that he would reproduce another branding iron to the size I wanted and ship it to me, all at no additional cost.I was impressed at the speed of the response and happy that there was no question about making sure that I received what I wanted.

Ordered a branding iron for the woodworking I have been doing. I designed my own logo and received the initial stamp. While it worked great it was not the size I was hoping for. Reached out to high heat to see how we can correct. While it took some time. The owner was helpful throughout the process and educating on how to improve my logo to get the desired effect I wanted.While I would have loved to have this rapid, I understood that they are a smaller business and sipped does not trump quality.Pleased to have supported a made in the US product and small business.For other, please be aware that burning takes practice and having the right heating source especially for these based on the material they are made of. Have have had to practice a lot to understand how best to best to hear and how my logo reacts to burning.

Thank you!! Although this arrived much later than expected (thanks to a very slow US postal system) the item is exactly as ordered and expected.

The only drawback is the depth of the engraving. The image and the background are very close. You have to be very careful when you burn or you will have an edge showing. Otherwise it works great. Once it is up to temperature it is easy to maintain.

I'm so glad I ordered this heat stamp. My husband was thrilled and it was exactly what I wanted. Works amazingly well and came with sample 'burns'Very happy

I ordered this heat stamp for my son as he sometimes makes products out of wood and wanted to put a personalized label on his products. This heat stamp is okay but not what he expected. It took a long time to arrive. Unfortunately, the name I had inscribed on the heat stamp was crooked so we were not impressed about that. Just for these reasons alone, I would not recommend this heat stamp. Maybe others have had a better experience with it. I hope so.
