There’s a reason that camera batteries from the camera makers typically cost at least twice as much as clones. Most clones have reduced capacity that’s far less than advertised, and most don’t have the thermistors the name brand batteries include to monitor charging temperature. The Wasabis are some of the better clones, at least in my experience. I have some I’ve had for several years that still work as well as new, with no overheating or bulging.

So far, I have not experienced any issues with using Wasabi batteries instead of batteries from the original branded cameras, which are considerably more expensive. I did need to contact a Wasabi US vendor one time and my telephone call was answered immediately and someone gave me the information I asked for.Of course I am only a casual photographer and understand that there may be valid reasons to use only batteries manufactured by the original maker of the camera. But, as I say, I have not experienced these reasons for my particular purposes.

I ordered this to have extra batteries for my camera.

I have used this brand for many years with little or no swelling or other issues. The have good chargers and batteries for both old and new cameras. The battery life is fine only slightly of OEM.
