Use with kindness. Do not jerk, yank or correct dog in Harness Lead. If dog continues to pull HARD, then leash is not working for dog, so discontinue use. Extremely important to properly fit by aligning black stops with front leg according to directions. This will prevent tightening around neck. Do not use for tie out, do not use to have dog tow weight. This is a walking tool and is not to be used for running with dog, as leash tightens and dog can control this by slowing his pace. Harness Lead is a leash & harness in one. Reduces pull: When dog pulls against the leash, Harness Lead will gently tighten around the barrel only, NO tightening around the neck. Harness Lead utilizes a dog's own pressure against the leash to encourage and remind the dog to slow their pace. When your dog relaxes pull, the leash will relax as well. Escape resistant: If dogs attempts to back of out this harness, it will tighten like a slip lead. Must be used correctly, according to directions. Escape resistant as walking tool only. Do not use to tie dog out. It is not chew proof. Reduces chafing: Made in a loose weave, the soft nylon texture is soft to the touch. There are no buckles or hard edges digging into skin or backs of legs. If used correctly, it will not wrap into the sensitive armpit area where most chafing occurs. Adjusts to any body type: Align the movable black stops with the dog's front leg and it will fit any body type or breed perfectly. Multiple USES: Harness Lead can also be used as a slip lead or collar lead for short term needs as well. Superb quality, made in USA: Harness Lead is made of double braided nylon construction, with a tensile strength of 4, 000 lbs. How to video link on product tag US Patent No. 9, 271, 476.

A great harness for escaping dog
I bought this for my escaping little dog. She had twisted backwards out of her harness accidentally a few times and figured out how to do it on purpose. Then she runs like the wind. This harness goes on so strangely I didn't have faith at first. I had to watch the video to fully understand how it goes. Now I've had it a while and used it quite a few times and so far, so good. The other day a grandson had her and I was a little worried at how she was trying to back and twist out of it. I don't think she can but I wouldn't want to let her keep trying. It's all about pulling backwards. I actually can drag her to me in this harness which I absolutely can not do in any other style harness that I've come across and I've tried several. I can't use a collar on her at all because the minute my back is turned she can get it off no matter how snugly I put it on. Bad dog! What I knock off one star for: The rubber disk that holds the leash/harness in place - it's sturdy enough but I believe it will fail eventually and then the system won't work. The way you are supposed to put the harness in place puts strain on that rubber disk. I try to put the harness on without going through the whole wrapping it around the dog to save time and stress on the rubber disk but sometimes that doesn't work. You will understand if you watch the video. The other little worry I have is that my dog will chew through the rope. I couldn't possibly leave her tethered in this out of my sight. That's not to say the leash isn't sturdy though, it is and I love it. I just have a problem dog.As far as pulling goes, for her it works exactly the same for me as the standard harnesses. She pulls some at times and this harness hasn't deterred that. She's small and pretty well behaved and pulling wasn't the problem we needed to solve. This harness/leash system has been well worth the money for me, I can walk my dog with peace of mind, and if it wears out for some reason I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Amazing product!
This is a fantastic harness. I refuse to use collars with a leash because it puts too much pressure on a dog's trachea. Unfortunately, a lot of the harnesses on the market rub in the armpit area, and since my dog has a sebaceous adenoma there, it can be a bit irritating for her. I've also had several leashes break (of various styles) after a year of use so I've been on the lookout for something new. I have a smaller Cocker Spaniel and the small/medium harness lead is the perfect size. It was easy to put on her and get set up. If you watch the video on the manufacturer's website and look at the directions included on the packaging, you'll be fine. It's really not as hard as some of the comments here make it out to be. I immediately noticed a significant decrease in pulling from my dog. I have bought other "no-pull" harness set ups and none have worked. She definitely doesn't seem to be able to get out of this harness but I'll fully test it out this weekend when we go camping and I have to tie her up next to me.

Awesome. Your dog will not escape ! Peace of mind when walking.
Someone in my neighborhood recommended this as escape proof, and after having a few suddenly scary experiences with an exuberant pekingese puppy suddenly slipping back out of her old harness and being free in the street. I knew I wanted to try it. Very pleased with it, no escapes . Very clever product. Rope is soft so even when it tightens on the dog's body it is not uncomfortable for them. (The manufacturer encourages you to try it on yourself in the directions. Haha ) watch the video on how to put the leash on. It's slightly annoying to always have to pull the rope and black rubber stopper thing out of the hole on the top when I need to put the leash on again from taking it hastily off , but it's worth that minor inconvenience. I am looking forward to maybe having a slightly less thick rope size for my toy breed dogs one day if the manufacturer decides to do it. Very good customer service from the company that makes the product by the way. The pink is a hot pink and looks great on my girl.

This harness has changed my life!
I have 2 rescue dogs and 1 of them wasn't treated very well before we adopted her and is working through fearful aggression issues; on top of that she also has a big body, little head and backs out of every collar and harness I've tried...not a good combo. On several occasions I've been in a panic trying to wrangle her back while trying not to let my other girl get loose as well. Walks became so chaotic and stressful that I wound up walking them separately. This harness has been a lifesaver! Because it wraps around (and stays) across their chests rather than throat, there's no choking or pulling. The rope is very soft and thick so it doesn't cut into or chafe them. They both seem much more at ease and calm with it, and I am as well. It's made all the difference and we're so happy now. Finally get to walk my girls together as a family!!!

Great Harness for walking.
I had been looking at several different harnesses for my dog and I finally decided to go with this one. I was a bit cautious at first wanting to go with a more traditional harness, but I'm glad I didn't. My dog seems to be very comfortable in this one and it is absolutely perfect for walks. I have a cocker spaniel and she has a tendency to want to tug on the leash sometimes, but the first time I put this on her she responded to it really well. She rarely pulls on this during walks. It is extremely easy to put on and take off and my dog doesn't really fuss about it.

Great Alternative.
We have been using this product on the road for the past month with two Italian Greyhounds. It is much faster to get on and get them one at a time outside in the morning or for the occasional night trip. Once you have used it once or twice, it is easy to slip on. The dogs do not protest nearly as much when you put this on as opposed to a regular harness since it is made of very soft material. When we are home again, I will order a second one so that each dog will have their own when we take them out at the same time.
