These energel pens are very good, with bold ink that stands out. The boldness means the ink runs out faster than regular ballpoints. The pen remains in great condition after the ink runs out. The pen also writes very smoothly and is another reason for buying it. But dont throw out after it runs out. Get a refill. Buying a dozen refills made them half the cost of a new pen or less.

This is a smooth-writing ink, in many ways comparable to the Pilot G-2 1.0 in black. Both are great, and it's hard to determine which is the better ink. The Pilot is probably a better value, and it dries more completely after use. The Pentel is a high-quality product, however, as with all of the Pentel products! You can't go wrong with these pens or refills.

Great value-- but the ink smears quite a bit. I can't remember if that's how my previous pens with 1.0 ink have been but I don't remember it being so slow drying.If you don't mind waiting for your pages to dry, these are perfect. If you're a rushed notetaker, these may not be your best bet.

I love writing with the Pentel gel pens, the pen fits my hand and fingers well, and the gel heads disburse ink smoothly & evenly, even on paper lying on a hard surface. Since I’m always writing or taking notes, they serve me well. And using refills saves $$ & waste

I tried to use this product for eating spaghetti, but disliked the fact it would not hold the pasta strings long enough to pick them up (even when I tried using two Pentel 1.00 mm Refills at the same time). Think I’ll try a set of chop sticks next time. Any suggestions as to the 8 Pentel Refills I have left? Thanks Amazon. Always happy to write a programmed review. I’m going to tackle a 36 pack of alkaline batteries and some black cherry jam next.

Bought these to replace the inserts in my empty pens. Price its super cheap! Works just as expected. Just remember to keep your old pen to replace the inners.
