Great for my universal work notebook that I can carry to every meeting. I like that the pages tear out into 8.5 x 11 inch sheets, which I can easily file away (by scanning, by punching holes and placing sheets in a 3-hole binder, by filing in a file folder). I also like that it's lighter to carry than a leather notebook, the fact that the spiral-bound pages flip over easily, and the legal ruling. For me, it's a perfect work notebook.

We use these notebooks for our business checking account ledgers and they work great! Lots of room to write and easy to stay organized.

Very well made , good paper , ink does not run or go through.

I ordered a new pad in February 2020. The pages no longer stick much at all. But the cardboard backing, while still thicker than the backing in most notepads, is notably thinner than before. It bends more when you put any pressure on it. You will notice the bending if you try to take notes while holding the pad in your hand or in your lap.The Mead Cambridge "stiff back" notebooks aren't as good in every way, but they do have a stiffer backing.ORIGINAL REVIEW [2018 NOVEMBER]I've been using these pads for more than 15 years. In the past, I would have given them four or five stars. But I recently bought a batch from Amazon (Amazon.com Services, Inc.) -- and they're a mess.The problem is that the pages stick together at the very top, where they are bound by the wire coil. It's as though they are glued together. You can't easily turn over a page, and start working on a fresh sheet, until you separate the current page from the next one. And it's very difficult to separate the pages without ripping them off of the wire coil. So if you want to write on one sheet, and then turn to the next one while keeping the old one in the pad...you're out of luck.The first photo in this review shows what the pages looks like when they separate as they should. The second photo illustrates the problem -- the lack of separation at the top.Amazon sent replacement pads -- and those replacement pads were defective in the same way.

High quality paper, high density backing. Just right.

I love the design and the layout on the pages but at the top where the spiral is, the pages are all stuck together. I bought several of these notepads and they are all the same.You can't flip the paper on the spiral without ripping the paper so unless you're going to remove the pages on the perforation, they're no good. I'm extremely dissatisfied with these pads. Also, while ink does not bleed through the pages, a highlighter will.

I like the page layouts and sturdy ness of the cardboard back but all of the pages stick together at the top by the spiral wire. It is very difficult to flip to the next page because you have to carefully pull the pages apart and it’s impossible to pull them apart without at least half of the first page ripping off the wire spiral. I would not buy this product again.

The notepads came already ripped, I would expect to see that as part of wear and tear not when they are brand new. Disappointed but will not return not worth the gas to drive to UPS.
