Morning Star Sunsaver Solar Controller

It worked for a few months then just quit working.

I've used Morningstar for years without fail, no ruined batteries. The value is in the reliability and fact that is won't kill your batteries. I count on these controllers to keep my systems up and running without fail, year after year.

I've been using these solar controllers in the oil field for years and have had very little (if any) issues with them. I use these over several others due to the fact that they don't need physically reset when the battery voltage gets low as the controller will automatically come back on when the sun comes up. This is a handy feature when these are used off grid in remote installations.

I use the controller on all my solar applications and have only one go bad in the last 5 years and that one went bad due to an assembly issue at the job sit.
