Easy yo install and just works for my son’s 2008 Nissan Maxima. Even with a trunk with a spoiler.

Exactly what I needed
Extremely easy install on my 04 Maxima. Used my Leatherman pliers to pull back the clips on the old struts, popped the old struts off the balls and pushed the new ones on by hand.My trunk used to be a literal guillotine. It would stay up if opened the whole way, but slammed down with frightening force if it wasn't.My trunk has the small spoiler at the back of the lid.With these new struts, it feels weightless to open, but it doesn't pop itself open either. I still have to lift it. If I lift it halfway, it lifts the rest of the way quickly. If it's below half open, it stands perfectly still. Takes a modest bit of pressure to close.This was exactly what I needed. And at the price, I will be satisfied even if they only last a year.Buy with confidence, 6th Gen Maxima owners!

Works great, I thought hard to install
The deck lid on my kid's 2005 Maxima was a guillotine. Bought these, what should have been an easy process was almost an hour ordeal, I could not figure out the clips - how to pry them out and get them back in without damaging them. No instructions included. With some YouTube videos figured it out, but not a great design despite being "industry standard". In the end, the deck lid now supports itself without slamming.

Ok for the value
They are alrightJust no strong enoughI don’t know if my truck it’s kinda heavy because it’s huge but when it pops out it won’t lift the trunk even over an inchSo it’s a alright product for the money

04 Maxima - Easy to install, just what I needed, exact fit!
Easy to replace, all you need is a flat head screw driver to pop the clip off the bottom and top anchors, slides right off. No need to pop the clip off the new, the pop right on! Thanks : )

A bit difficult to install but product works after installation
The product works but the clips were not exactly like the OEM part and required some manipulation with a screwdriver to install. The videos in the web I found showed the items snapping on, but the items shipped wouldn’t snap on until I partially removed the clips and pried them back on with screwdriver.The original parts snapped off and on easily withoit messing with the clips. The replacement parts were obviously a knock off.Once installed, they work fine and the trunk no longer falls on my head when I’m loading it.

The trunk struts that I purchased from ECCPP are an exact match for my Nissan 04 Maxima and perform in every way expected. The dealer wanted in excess of $200.00 for original Nissan struts that in my opinion don't perform any better than your shocks and I only paid about $20.00 for them. Man those dealers are a rip-off. When I called the Nissan dealer inquiring about the shocks and he quoted me their price, I thought he had quoted me a price for the front hood shocks & the rear trunk struts. Can you imagine my surprise when he told me that the $200.00+ price was only for the rear trunk struts.only?
