When it comes to @jennifer_l_armentrout I hardly ever miss her books, and yet I missed a few, this being one of them. This is yet another genres that I have read by Jen. Romance, Suspense and Mystery, you will everything in this amazing story.This is a story of Ella, a girl living in a small town who is attacked while going home from a party. The story begins from here, when close ones are trying to protect her from being hurt again while slowly and gradually few of other high schoolers go missing too. Ella is shown to be a very strong character and probably one of the strongest women protagonist portrayed by Jen. Even after being attacked by a Killer on the loose, she doesn't back down or go to live under the shades. With help and support of her family and her childhood friend Jenson, she becomes stronger and braver day by day. She even joins a self defence class to overpower her fears which is quite impeccable.A romantic relationship does cooks out between her and Jenson, but the main focus of the story is to uncover who is the killer who is responsible for all the deaths of the young high school students and what exactly is the motive behind the murders.Now I have read a lot of suspense novels so I figured that I would be able to guess the killer, but in this case it was very hard. I was completely unaware about who the killer is, and most importantly I was not able to figure out the reason for murders at all. So after the book ended, I was quite astonished.One other thing that I extremely loved was the character of Penn. It was really sad and somewhat mysterious in the end.Loved the story too much. But sadly there are only five stars that I can give in the review.😍

I’m addicted to Jennifer’s books. She writes of strong, intelligent and emotionally mature female characters with charismatic, enigmatic and strong male characters. I never feel like shouting at the heroine to grow up, or like banging my head against a brick wall because the storyline seems simplistic or cringeworthy.This book has shot up to be one my favourites. Ever. And I’m reading a book or two a day at present on my Kindle. I love it that much.From the Blood and Ash series, to the Covenant series and the Lux books, everything that Jennifer L Armentrout touches is gold. I’d buy her books without hesitation. Can’t believe how majorly talented this lady is, spinning tales so diverse and wonderful, spanning different genres and landscapes. I’ve got her on my watch list for any future publications!!!

From the first page i was hooked. As i got further into the book more questions were asked, i needed more answers. What had happened to Penn? Why all the guilt? Who had Jenson broken her heart? And more importantly who was the killer?At one point i thought i may have it figured iut but as i learnt from another of Jennifer's books, she has a way of surprising you amd taking the story in a whole different direction. And sure enough she did it again and then some.I wasnt sure of this new thriller road Jennifer has gone down at first but I have to admit I am loving it. Cant wait for the next pulse racing story she has for us.

Jennifer's books are some of my absolute favourites. It doesn't matter what genre. I read them. And they never disappoint. This is another toe curling, suspense filled, epic read. Pace, writing, plot all perfect. Although, not gonna lie, I did have to binge watch reality TV before going to sleep. Because this one is just a tad scary. But a good kind of scary. Like I'm gonna lock the doors and then read it anyway, scary.So....loved it. Thanks Jennifer and please write another book asap. I read them to fast!!

I am yet to find a book written by Jennifer that I haven’t loved and this was no exception. I found myself guessing who it could be and at no point for me did it become boring. I was half right about the killer but only after coming up with some wrong theories first. I would recommend this book.

An absolute thriller. Although about young teenagers in love, and growing up, this story does not lack anything. Murder, mystery and total unpredictablity. Once started I found it very difficult to put it down. Jennifer has a wonderful command of language, intrigue and description. Never saw half of this coming and even at the very end a twist leaves you reeling. A fantastic novel.
