Mostly good for my R7. I initially liked that it could easily unclip from the base for grab and go purposes. In use though, it rattled a lot because of that and drove me nuts. I ended up super gluing the clip to the base so it can't be removed that way now, but it's way more stable with no rattle, much better. It can still be removed by just pulling the mount out of the detector of course. Overall, a good deal and happy with the functionality after a slight modification 🤝

Yes, it holds well to the windshield. The part that goes into the radar detector and into the windshield part loosen up and the detector loosens up and the washer that comes with it is flat. You need to change it out to a locking washer. It held better but still the detector moved. I ended up using gorilla glue to hold the two pieces together since the detector will always be at that certain angle and have not had an issue since.

For the price, this is a great product, I am skeptical about the tape...the instructions state "To remove the adhesive mounts, you can use a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive and slowly peel it back." Pretty sure the temperature of the sun beaming down through a windshield is going to beat out a hairdryer. It also looks as though they have changed the screw from what is pictured to one that is about 1 1/4" in length. I saw a lot of reviews complaining of not being able to keep theirs tight, perhaps the longer screw is their solution. I plan to use loctite on mine, and believe I will have to replace the adhesive tape with something that can hold up to the heat coming through a windshield.

sticks to the windshield just fine. But the adjustment screw is weak and just turns when you try to tighten it. Any small bumps you hit in the road will make the detector point straight up towards the sky. Almost useless. Save your money, skip this one and buy a better unit. Almost forgot, where the two halves clip in together; the fit is so loose it vibrates all over the place. Had to stick a match book between the pieces to get any kind of stability.

I bought 2 of these for my BMW and Honda vehicles. I like the small profile and although it is supposedly "permanent", it can be easily removed if you have the know how (not hard).

I really didn’t want to play the suction cup game for my radar detector mount. Neither did I want to spend an exorbitant amount for a mirror mount (as most do not fit my car). This radar detector mount affixes to the windshield via 3M tape and can be placed to make the detector even more unobtrusive to the view than a mirror mount. And, on top of that for an exceptionally reasonable price. It checked every box for what I wanted and I highly recommend it. Cheap, simple, and secure.
