Wish I could pick up a preservative free saline at any drug store in a pinch, but thank goodness I can order it. Keeps my eyes comfortable.

love this stuff. I have bad dry eye - at night my eyes totally dry out. At one point the lids would stick to my actual eye and when I opened my eyes, the lid would tear the cornea. This was incredibly painful. I had to take steroid drops for a few weeks to reduce the inflammation, and use this in between to keep my eyes hydrated. you can't use anything with preservative because it makes the situation worse. Which means that decades of using saline with preservative for contacts might have produced dry eyes in the first place?anyway now I don't have the sticking at night anymore, but I still use this during the day, many times a day. It feels lovely, no stinging, unlike saline with preservative. I'm being very careful to throw it away after 15 days as instructed.

Use this saline for my scleral lenses. Prefer using this type of bottle since there is less plastic waste. One bottle lasts a month and it is more cost effective than the other varieties.
